A handheld apparatus includes a weight sensor configured to weigh an object, a display configured to display the weight of the object, and a wireless transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit the object weight data from the weight sensor to one or more remote devices. The apparatus also includes a user interface that allows a user to control operation of the weight sensor, and to control transmission of object weight data to a remote device via the wireless transmitter. The user interface may also allow a user to enter and display descriptive information about an object that can be transmitted with the object weight data to a remote device. A second handheld apparatus is used to capture an image of the object and display object weight data within the image.

Handheld devices and methods for acquiring object data

A promotional apparatus for use in holding badges and other forms of identification includes a first housing, a second housing, an extendable and retractable cord that tethers the first and second housings together, and a badge holder secured to the second housing. The cord is normally retracted within one of the first and second housings such that the first and second housings are in adjacent relationship with each other when the cord is normally retracted. The badge holder and second housing can be retractably extended away from the first housing by a user. When extended away from the first housing, the second housing is free to rotate about an axis. The first housing includes an attachment device that releasably secures the first housing to a user's clothing and allows a user to extend the badge holder away from the first housing without dislodging the first housing from the user's clothing.

Distinctive, promotional bag dispensing apparatus are provided that include a clamp and a clip configured to retain a plurality of plastic (or other) bags in stacked adjacent relationship. Each clamp includes a base member and a retaining member that is movably secured to the base member via hinges for pivotal movement about an axis thereof. A plurality of spaced-apart posts extend from the front surface adjacent the forward edge portion. Each clip has a U-shaped configuration with adjacent, spaced-apart first and second panels that are configured to receive and retain header portions of a plurality of bags in stacked adjacent relationship positioned therebetween. The first and second panels each comprise a plurality of spaced-apart apertures. The respective apertures in the first panel are aligned with the respective apertures in the second panel so as to removably receive the respective plurality of spaced-apart posts extending from the base member front surface therethrough such that the clip is removably secured to the clamp.

A system and method is described for processing waste citrus peel to remove oil from the peel in a highly efficient manner for subsequent processing, where the temperature of the peel is elevated, the peel is then finely fragmented to create a slurry, the solid particles are removed from the slurry and dried, and the oil is separated from the water in the slurry. The temperature of the peel is elevated by exposing the peel to steam so that minimal water is added.

A method of forming a knuckle assembly for an automotive vehicle is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of forming a front and back half of a knuckle assembly and welding the front and back halves together. A spindle is positioned through holes formed in the front and back halves of the knuckle and is secured thereto to provide a low cost, light weight knuckle assembly for an automotive vehicle.

A rear suspension for use in a motor vehicle that allows improved package space for additional seating capacity. The suspension includes upper and lower control arms (32, 34), each having first and second ends (40, 42, 50, 52) respectively, being pivotally attached to a vehicle structure (10). Each of the control arms also includes an outer end (44, 54) for attachment to a wheel support member (22). A toe link (36) is provided for controlling toe change during dynamic loading of the suspension. The first and second upper ends (40, 42) of the upper control arm (32) are arranged so as to allow the load floor to extend rearward in the vehicle sufficient to package a third row passenger seat capable of providing excellent passenger comfort.

Independent suspension apparatus for a wheeled vehicle

A rear structure of a motor vehicle increases the packaging flexibility within the body structure area above a differential unit (36) such that a third row seat (110) may readily be incorporated therein. The rear structure includes a floor pan (14) and a pair of spaced apart rear side frame members (22,24) having middle portions (70, 72) with first and second apertures (90,92) therein. The differential unit includes first and second axle members (34,36) which extend through the first and second apertures.

A clipboard includes a planar panel suitable for writing and holding documents and a retaining member pivotally secured thereto that is configured to have Rolodex.RTM.-style cards releasably secured to a front surface thereof. A pair of adjacent, spaced-apart card retaining rails are secured to the retaining member front face. One or more cards are releasably secured to the card retaining rails via a pair of complementary shaped notches. Each card includes opposite first and second faces with printed indicia on at least one of the first and second faces. Each card is also movable along the retaining rails from a first position wherein the first face is exposed to a second position wherein the second face is exposed.
