Methods and systems include receiving vehicle data that is associated, at least in part, with one or more vehicle-related products/services. One or more predictions that are associated with the one or more vehicle-related products/services are determined. The one or more predictions are based, at least in part, on the vehicle data.

Generating predictive information associated with vehicle products/services

Two or more quiet vehicles traveling together sense each other and communicate to each other the condition of the respective drivers of the vehicles and announce their presence to pedestrians and other motorists using noise sounds. The characteristics of the emitted sounds are selected according to a level of threat presented by the quiet vehicles.

Enhanced sound generation for quiet vehicles with vehicle-to-vehicle communication capabilities

The integrated garage door opener controller in a vehicle, i.e., a garage door controller embedded in a vehicle, is prevented from operating pending receipt of a personal identification number (PIN) into a display device. In an alternate embodiment, the embedded garage door controller is enabled by information from occupant sensors, which indicate whether a driver or other person in the vehicle previously used the vehicle. In an alternate embodiment, an alarm is transmitted to a telematics service provider after a predetermined number of attempts to unlock the system have been made.

When a wireless communications module, such as a Bluetooth transceiver in a vehicle, is confronted with numerous devices that it can choose to connect to, one particular device of many is chosen by the Bluetooth transceiver by determining a connection priority for each available, connectible device. Priority can be determined by factors that change over time and for different users and different devices. Examples include time of day, day of the week, direction, who is driving a vehicle, where a vehicle is going, and where a vehicle has been. The importance of any given factor can be user-specified or programmed into the Bluetooth transceiver.

The horizon provider creates a planning table including information about the expected route course and/or including data to be provided as a function of the route course, associated with an expected position of the vehicle in the planning table. The planning table data to be provided by the assistance system application are taken at least partially from the planning table as a function of the current position of the vehicle.

Predictive EHORIZON

A vehicle control system comprising a control device having a plurality of positions, a processing device, and a display device. The control device is configured to transmit data regarding a position of the control device when an object is proximate to the control device. The processing device is configured to receive the data from the control device, identify the control device transmitting the data, and transmit data regarding the first position and identity of the control device. The display device is configured to receive the data from the processing device, visually display a virtual control having a plurality of positions, and allow adjustment of the plurality of positions of the virtual control to at least a second position of the virtual control, wherein the second position is different from the first position.

Vehicle fuel related information also includes an amount of fuel required to fill the vehicle's fuel reservoir, an amount of fuel required for the vehicle to travel to a particular location or distance, an amount of fuel received during previous refueling sessions, the identity of the vehicle, and vehicle operator fueling preferences. It can also include the location of the vehicle relative to a fueling station or fuel pump.

A system and method for providing voice communication to an occupant of a vehicle through a mobile device. The system communicates with a mobile device with an occupant of the vehicle, for example using a telematics controller or network access device. The system receives an identification from the mobile device and transmits a request, as well as, the identification to a service provider. The service provider then initiates a communication to the mobile device based on the request and identification.
