The invention relates to a shaving device which comprises a shaving head () having at least one cutting blade () and two skin-supporting members (), said cutting blade comprising a cutting edge () extending perpendicularly to a shaving direction (X) of the shaving head, and said skin-supporting members, viewed in the shaving direction, being arranged, respectively, in front of and behind said cutting blade, and defining a contact surface () between the shaving head and a skin surface () to be treated. The cutting blade and the skin-supporting members are mounted to a sub-frame (), which is coupled to a main frame () and can be displaced with respect to said main frame against a spring force (F). According to the invention, the main frame comprises two further skin-supporting members () which, viewed in the shaving direction, are arranged, respectively, in front of and behind the sub-frame and extend substantially in said contact surface. As a result, a contact force (F) between the skin surface and the skin-supporting members of the sub-frame and hence a skin curvature (w) between the skin-supporting members of the sub-frame, i.e. at the location of the cutting member, is mainly determined by the value of said spring force and, accordingly, substantially independent of a pressure force (F) exerted by a user to press the shaving head against the skin surface.

A shaving device which comprises a shaving head ( ) having at least one cutting blade ( ) and two skin-supporting members ( ), said skin-supporting members, viewed in the shaving direction, being arranged, respectively, in front of and behind said cutting blade, and defining a contact surface ( ) between the shaving head and a skin surface ( ) to be treated. A hair removing apparatus ( ) comprising two co-operating hair processing members ( ), formed by plate-shaped carriers and movable relatively to each other in a direction of movement (X). The two carriers are positioned with respect to each other, viewed in a Z direction substantially perpendicular to the carriers, by a plurality of positioning members ( ), which are spaced apart in the direction of movement. At least one of the two carriers has a comparatively low bending stiffness. As a result, a comparatively small and uniform gap is present between the two carriers, and the friction force acting on the carriers in a direction parallel to the direction of movement is also comparatively small. In one embodiment the positioning members ( ) each have an S-shaped or C-shaped tongue ( ), which is provided on a third carrier ( ), the first and second carriers ( ) being enclosed between the third carrier and contact elements ( ) of the tongues.
