A cable assembly for a work machine, includes a cable and a collet. The cable includes an electrically conductive core, an insulating layer covering the core; an electrically conductive shield layer covering the insulating layer over a first length of the cable, and the insulating layer is exposed over a second length of the cable. The shield layer is folded back over a fold length, and the fold length includes two layers of the shield layer. The collet includes an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve extending over a portion of the inner sleeve at an end of the collet. The two shield layers of the fold length are arranged over the inner sleeve and under the outer sleeve, the insulating layer is arranged under the inner sleeve, and the second length of the cable extends through the inner sleeve.

A guard assembly for a work machine includes at least one guard including a body. The body in part defines a volume, a first opening, at least one second opening, and at least one pair of first retention tabs. The door defines a first end and a second end. In an open position of the door, the door provides access to the volume and, in a closed position of the door, the door limits access to the volume. The door includes a plate removably coupled to the guard proximal to the first end of the door by at least one fastener, and at least one coupling arrangement extending from the plate for pivotably coupling the plate to the guard proximal to the second end of the door. The coupling arrangement includes a first portion coupled to the plate and a second portion extending from the first portion.

A mounting system for a machine includes a tank support structure adapted to mount tanks proximate to an operator cabin of the machine, a first mounting bracket fixedly coupled to the tank support structure, and a second mounting bracket adapted to be removably coupled to the first mounting bracket. The tank support structure defines a hollow space. The tanks are received within the hollow space. The tank support structure includes a first surface and a second surface spaced apart from the first surface. The hollow space is defined between the first surface and the second surface. The first surface is configured to be coupled to a portion of the machine for mounting the tank support structure on the machine. The first mounting bracket and the second mounting bracket are adapted to receive a section of the tanks for retaining the tanks within the tank support structure.

A system for determining a lifting capacity of a pipelayer is provided. The system includes a load sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a load suspended from a lifting hook, an angle sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of an angular position of a chassis relative to ground surface, a boom position sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a position of a boom relative to an undercarriage, and a counterweight position sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a position of a counterweight relative to the undercarriage. The system further includes a controller configured to receive the signal from each of the load sensor, the angle sensor, the boom position sensor, and the counterweight position sensor. The controller is also configured to determine the lifting capacity of the pipelayer based, at least in part, on the received signal.

System and method for determining a lifting capacity of a machine

A hydraulic apparatus and a method of controlling the hydraulic apparatus are disclosed. The hydraulic apparatus includes a first pump having a first fixed displacement, a second pump having a second fixed displacement, and a diverter. The diverter includes a first diverter inlet port fluidly coupled to a discharge of the second pump, a first diverter outlet port fluidly coupled to a discharge of the first pump, and a second diverter outlet port fluidly coupled to a low pressure system, the low pressure system having a fluid pressure lower than a fluid pressure of the discharge of the first pump. The diverter is operable to selectively vary fluid communication between the first diverter inlet port and either the first diverter outlet port or the second diverter outlet port based on a reference pressure.

Hydromechanical power management of fixed displacement boost pumps

A final drive assembly is used to support a track chain on a track type machine. The final drive assembly includes a sprocket hub mounted for rotation on a fixed hub. A seal is positioned between the fixed hub and the sprocket hub. The fixed hub and the sprocket hub define a seal protection passageway that extends between an outer surface and the seal. The seal protection passageway includes a labyrinth located between an annular attachment flange and the seal along a rotation axis of the sprocket hub. The outer surface includes a valley between a sprocket mount of the sprocket hub and a machine mount of the fixed hub. The seal protection passageway opens at a greater radius than a minimum radius of the valley.

An exercise system for simulating the motions involved in boarding sports such as surfing or snowboarding in a repetitive manner which allows for a cardiovascular, aerobic exercise that builds and tones the same muscles and reflexes used in boarding sports. The exercise system generally includes a frame including a first track and a second track. The first track is positioned parallel with the second track. A carriage assembly is slidably mounted on the first track and the second track such that the carriage assembly may freely slide back and forth along the tracks. The carriage assembly is adapted to tilt about a horizontal axis of rotation and swivel about a vertical axis of rotation. By sliding the carriage assembly along the tracks and utilizing the swiveling and tilting motions, the operator may simulate the motions and exercises encountered while enjoying boarding sports such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding.

Exercise system

An alarm system is provided for alerting a golfer about a forgotten club. A divot tool incorporates a radio transmitter powered by a rechargeable power source for transmitting a coded transmission. A radio receiver tuned to receive the coded transmission includes logic circuitry that generates an alarm signal whenever power associated with the coded transmission drops below a threshold level. One or more alarm devices are coupled to the logic circuitry to generate alarm(s) when the alarm signal is supplied thereto. A power source is coupled to the radio receiver for supplying power thereto and for supplying a charging current for the rechargeable power source via an electrical coupling. When a golfer places a club or other accessory on the ground, the divot tool is placed near the club. As long as the golfer remains within a prescribed range, no alarm will be activated. However, if the golfer moves further from the divot tool than the prescribed range, an alarm is produced. Alerted to his forgetfulness before leaving the vicinity, the golfer then simply retrieves the club and divot tool.
