A cosmetic composition for bleaching discolored nails containing at least one hydrogen peroxide generator in an amount sufficient to perform bleaching of discolored nails, at least one film forming polymer and at least one cosmetically acceptable volatile solvent. Also disclosed is a method of bleaching discolored nails involving applying onto said nails the cosmetic composition of the present invention.

The present invention is directed to a method of making up nails, the method involving: a) applying onto the nails a first composition containing: i) at least one color precursor, ii) at least one film former, iii) at least one volatile solvent, iv) optionally, at least one buffer, and v) optionally, at least one colorant; (b) applying a second composition over top of at least a portion of the first composition, the second composition containing at least one color activator; and (c) optionally, applying a third composition over top of at least a portion of the second composition, the third composition containing at least one color deactivator.

A lip gloss comprising a mineral oil gel comprising polyethylene and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, wherein the weight proportion of polyethylene to ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is in the range of 90:10 to 70:30, respectively where polyethylene is present in major proportion, and wherein the weight proportion of polyethylene to ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is in the range of 20:80 to 30:70, respectively, where the ethylene-vinyl acetate is present in major proportion; a preferred embodiment includes 43% or less by weight of a wear-enhancing agent selected from the group consisting of polyiso and normal butene, lanolin and dimethylpolysiloxane.
