An efficient method and system to enhance digital acquisition devices for analog data is presented. The enhancements offered by the method and system are available to the user in local as well as in remote deployments yielding efficiency gains for a large variety of business processes. The quality enhancements of the acquired digital data are achieved efficiently by employing virtual reacquisition. The method of virtual reacquisition renders unnecessary the physical reacquisition of the analog data in case the digital data obtained by the acquisition device are of insufficient quality. The method and system allows multiple users to access the same acquisition device for analog data. In some embodiments, one or more users can virtually reacquire data provided by multiple analog or digital sources. The acquired raw data can be processed by each user according to his personal preferences and/or requirements. The preferred processing settings and attributes are determined interactively in real time as well as non real time, automatically and a combination thereof.

Systems and methods of processing scanned data

A method includes storing raw or normalized video data in a computer accessible storage medium; analyzing portions of the video data with a first analytic engine to: determine whether the raw video data is within a first set of parameters; and generate with the first analytic engine a first set of processor settings; processing the raw or normalized video data with the first set of processor settings; and analyzing portions of the processed data with a second analytic engine to determine whether the processed data is within a second set of parameters; generating with the second analytic engine a second set of processor settings to reprocess the raw or normalized video data, sending the second set of processor settings to the first analytic engine; and reprocessing the raw or normalized video data with the first analytic engine using the second set of processor settings.

Systems and methods of accessing random access cache for rescanning

Meat such as poultry may be rapidly cooked in a closed and sealed pressure vessel subjected to a mixture of superheated steam and superatmospheric compressed air at a temperature of least 400.degree. F. and at an internal chamber pressure of at least 15 psig fed from an air compressor through a heat exchanger. Water is mixed with the heated superatmospheric compressed air such that a mixture of superheated steam and superatmospheric compressed air is created prior to mixture entry into the interior of the pressure vessel. Preferably, meat is cooked rapidly at a temperature within the chamber in the range of 400.degree. F. to 600.degree. F. and at pressures ranging from 15 to 150 psig. A pressure relief valve coupled to the pressure vessel exhausts the mixture of superheated steam and superatmospheric compressed air to maintain the desired gas pressurization within the chamber.

Method for high temperature, high pressure cooking

Direct gasification of a high BTU content fuel gas from a hydrocarbon content solid waste material W which may include some glass content is effected by preheating heat carrier solids HCS in a flash calciner to a temperature capable of thermally cracking the hydrocarbon content of the solid waste material W directly into the high BTU content fuel gas. The HCS are separated from the products of combustion and fed into a gas sealed refractory lined horizontal axis rotary kiln retort concurrently with the solid waste W. Momentary contact and mixing of the solid waste W with the HCS in the rotary kiln in the absence of oxygen is sufficient to directly thermally crack the solid waste material into the high BTU gas product. Separated HCS are returned to the flash calciner for reheating. A trommel, coupled directly to the output of the rotary kiln retort and having a trommel screen with mesh openings smaller than glass agglomerates, but sized larger than the HCS, permits separation of the HCS and discharging of glass agglomerates from the downstream end of the trommel screen to prevent shut down of the direct gasification unit. Direct gasification of steel industry waste water treatment plant sludge, automobile shredded refuse ASR, municipal solid waste MSW and refuse derived fuel RDF and oil mill scale is effectively achieved, irrespective of glass content contaminant.

Method for direct gasification of solid waste materials

A door harp having a body portion with a front face and a back and at least two spaced apart pegs mounted on the front face having a tensioned string extending between them and a pendulum like chiming device extending from a bracket mounted on the front face above the string in a position to strike the string when the door harp is moved. The door harp also includes a cavity formed in the back forming a resonance chamber and a sounding board. A groove extends from the bottom of the cavity towards the front face of the body portion and surrounds the sounding board.

Solvents are separated from solvent bearing material by feeding the material to the open end of a reactor vessel rotatable about a substantially horizontal axis. The vessel has internal vanes operable to move the material from the open end towards the closed other end of the vessel when the vessel is rotated in one direction, and to move the material towards the open end when the vessel is rotated in the opposite direction. The reactor vessel is heated to a predetermined temperature while rotating the vessel in the one direction to cause solvent to be distilled from the material, and distilled gases are collected from the open end of the vessel and subsequently cooled to condense the distillate. The heating of the vessel is continued to a temperature high enough to produce a free-flowing residue when the reactor vessel is cooled. The vessel is then cooled and rotated in the opposite direction to cause the residue to be discharged from the open end of the vessel.

Solvent extraction process

A stringed musical instrument including a body which is formed from an elongated wooden board having front and rear surfaces. The rear face of the body is hollowed out to provide an elongated cavity extending longitudinally through a large portion of the body's length leaving a relatively thin top surface superjacent thereto. A fingerboard is positioned on the top surface of the body above the cavity and extends longitudinally thereof. Multiple strings extend longitudinally of the body above the fingerboard in engagement with bridge means, and means are provided at both ends of the body for holding the strings under tension.
