Light systems, systems and apparatus related thereto that aids in the installation and removal of a luminaire as well as eliminates gaps formed in a housing for the light system. The light system includes a spring-loaded attachment system for a light system, a mounting system in which a luminaire can be arranged therein that includes interchangeable plates to accommodate various size and shape luminaires, and a light-blocking rotatable housing assembly for a recessed luminaire.

A lighting system includes two or more three-dimensional structural frames that are joined to one another by at least one shared frame component and at least one shared connector to form a modular structural frame. The frames can be fitted with a light emitting panel for emitting light downwardly. The frames can be suspended from a ceiling via suspension cables or can be fixedly mounted to a ceiling.

A modular lighting system that includes or more luminaires that can be individually suspended from a surface or connected to each other to form a variety of scalable arrangements that project light downwardly therefrom. The luminaire can includes a housing that has a first and a second sidewall that is spaced from the first sidewall and a light source that is arranged between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. A first connector can be fixed to and delimit a first end of the luminaire and deliver power to the light source and a second connector can be configured to be fixed to and delimit a second end of the luminaire.

A lighting system may include a plurality of suspenders and a beam configured to provide light in at least one direction. The suspenders may structurally support the beam from a ceiling and may provide electrical power and dimming control signals to the beam. The beam may include a plurality of light engines for emitting light. The light engines may be single sided or dual sided, and may transmit electrical power among each other. The dual sided light engines may emit light upwardly and downwardly from the beam, and the single sided light engines may emit light downwardly.

A lighting system that may include a platform, a plurality of hangers configured to hang the platform from a supporting structure, and at least one luminaire or light pendant electrically and structurally coupled to the platform for emitting light. The platform may include a plurality of first power bars spaced from one another and extending in a first direction, and a plurality of second power bars spaced from one another and extending in a second direction crossing the first direction. The first and second power bars may be electrically and structurally connected to one another.
