A fuel cell plate is provided that includes a flow field having a plurality of channels each with an inlet end, and a header in fluid communication with the inlet ends. The header has at least one restricted flow region in which fluid flow is restricted to the inlet ends of a set of channels of the flow field and at least some of the plurality of channels include a pressure drop feature that is configured to increase fluid flow to the set of channels.

Fuel cell plate flow field

A fuel cell installation includes a support structure and a cell stack assembly that is removably insertable into the support structure from an uninstalled position to an installed position during an installation procedure. The cell stack assembly includes a fitting. An interfacing structure is mounted on one of the support structure in the cell stack assembly. The interfacing structure carries a connector that is configured to receive the fitting in interconnected relationship. At least one of the fitting and the connector floats in a plane relative to the support structure during the installation procedure. In operation, the fitting engages the connector when the cell stack assembly is inserted into the support structure. The fitting is repositioned relative to the connector to ensure that the fitting and connector are aligned with one another and connected upon installation. Related methods are disclosed.

Methods of installing cell stack assemblies

Fuel cell systems () and related methods for limiting fuel cell slippage are provided. A stacked plurality of adjacent fuel cells () collectively forming a fuel cell stack (). The fuel cells each include a pair of first and second plates () at respective opposite ends thereof. A first fuel cell has a first plate () in engagement with a second plate () of a second fuel cell adjacent to the first fuel cell. A slip mitigation arrangement () between at least one of the pairs of the first and second fuel cells comprises first and second seats () recessed in the engagement surfaces of the first and second conductive plates respectively, and a key member () having opposite ends seated in the first and the second recessed seats such that relative movement between the first and the second fuel cells is limited.

Fuel cell systems and related arrangements for limiting relative motion between fuel cells

An electrical power outlet having an outlet box and an electrical connector insert attached to the outlet box. The electrical connector insert has a frame and a powerpole connector assembly attached to the frame. The powerpole connector assembly has a plurality of powerpole connectors. The electrical power outlet includes a face plate that is attached to the frame of the electrical connector insert. The faceplate has an opening through which the powerpole connectors protrude. In one embodiment, the plurality of powerpole connectors has four powerpole connectors arranged in two columns, wherein each column has two powerpole connectors. The opening in the face plate is substantially rectangular in shape. In a preferred embodiment, the face plate is configured as a Decora&#xae; style face plate.

Electrical power outlet

A utility receptacle apparatus for use with an article of furniture having a work surface and an opening in the work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus has a grommet member having a top side, a bottom side, a peripheral portion and an opening. The bottom side has a structure that fits into an opening in the work surface. The peripheral portion contacts the work surface when the structure is disposed within the opening in the work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus includes a receptacle base member that is configured to be attached to the underside of a work surface of the article of furniture. A utility receptacle is located on the receptacle base member at a predetermined location so that the utility receptacle is accessible through the openings in the work surface and grommet member when the receptacle base member is attached to the underside of the work surface.

The bottom side comprises a structure that is sized to fit into an opening in the work surface. The peripheral portion is sized so as to contact the work surface when the structure is disposed within the opening in the work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus further includes a device charging system attached to the grommet member. The device charging system has a charging pad for receiving and charging a chargeable electronic device. The device charging system also has electrical conductors for connection to an electrical power source. The utility receptacle apparatus further includes a receptacle base member which has portions thereof that are configured to be attached to the underside of a work surface of the article of furniture. The receptacle base member has at least one utility receptacle that is located on the receptacle base member at a predetermined location so that the utility receptacle is accessible through the openings in the work surface and grommet member when the receptacle base member is attached to the underside of the work surface.
