The technology described herein is generally directed towards determining that a user is passively attending a meeting via a connected device, collecting data created during the meeting, and outputting information based on the collected data for the user to monitor the meeting. Join criteria can be associated with passive meeting attendee, and if the collected meeting data satisfies the join criteria, the attendee can transition to an active attendee. Keyword data can be used to represent information relevant to a meeting attendee. Based on collected and monitored meeting data presented during the meeting and the keyword data, the meeting can be determined to have reached a relevance/pertinence level by which action is taken to change the user from a passive attendee to an active attendee. This can include a transition period that allows a user to catch up on previous meeting information before becoming an active attendee.

Virtual meeting management

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of receiving a first request from a first user of a virtual reality (VR) system to enhance a presentation of a portion a VR presentation of a VR environment provided by the VR system to the first user; receiving first data describing a field of view of the first user within the VR environment; receiving second data describing a location of one or more objects within the VR environment; determining a first object of the one or more objects that has a highest score of an attention score; and enhancing the VR presentation of the object in the field of view of the first user. System and method for contextual content prominence in virtual reality spaces

The disclosed technology is directed towards detection of personal threats to a user based on information known to a user's device and other information. A device with a personal threat application program and server communicate information, including data describing the user's current physical situation, e.g., including current location. The server and/or application program obtain data describing environmental conditions around the user's location, e.g., corresponding to a defined personal zone. The personal zone size automatically can vary based on current factors. Based on the situation and environmental data reaching a threshold threat level, a potential threat to the user can be predicted and the prediction, used to take some action, such as to send an alert to the user and/or otherwise output a warning signal. Historical data such as statistics related to the user's current location can be accessed to assist with the prediction.

Predictive personal threat levels via user device

The disclosed technology is directed towards providing guidance, e.g., point-to-point audio guidance, along an evacuation route. The presence of occupant(s) within a structure/area is monitored. If an evacuation event occurs, an evacuation route is determined for each occupant based on their current monitored starting location. Guidance is output, e.g., by various output devices along the evacuation route, which can be the safety monitors that monitor occupant presence, to guide each occupant from point-to-point along the evacuation route. For example, one monitor can be configured to hand off guidance responsibility to a next monitor along the evacuation route. The guidance can be customized for each known occupant based on their recognized features, or can be directed generally to an unknown occupant. Status information of the occupants can be provided to other occupants and to a responding entity. A responding entity can also be given directional guidance.

Monitored audio-based evacuation routes

The disclosed technology is directed towards generating an annotated visual playback of an incident. Upon obtaining notification of an incident, event data occurring in the incident zone and timeframe are obtained (e.g., collected) from sensors proximate the zone. The event data is used to annotate a visual playback captured by one or more cameras, e.g., within a timeframe ranging from some time before the incident occurred to the end of the incident. For example, a video can be presented with overlaid annotation data, each annotation describing an event as it occurred in time, in conjunction with an advancing timestamp overlay showing the time of the video frames. A simulated video, e.g., extended reality video, can also be generated, along with annotations and timeframe data, such as if captured from camera(s) from one or more various different perspectives.

A processing system including at least one processor may detect at least one dark zone in a vicinity of a user, determine at least one lighting feature for an illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with a user profile of the user, identify at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark area in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined, and transmit an instruction to the at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of: receiving a request from a first user of an electronic event to invoke a surrogate to control an avatar of the first user; retrieving data describing characteristics of the surrogate; and altering a presentation of the avatar for the first user made to a second user, wherein the data describing characteristics of the surrogate is used to alter the presentation of the avatar. System and method for surrogate gameplay

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device including: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of: receiving a request for a proxy player to continue gameplay on behalf of a player of a game; retrieving data describing characteristics of historical gameplay of the player; and continuing the gameplay by the proxy player, wherein the proxy player performs actions that emulate the player based on the data describing the characteristics of the historical gameplay of the player. System and method for continuous proxy gameplay

The disclosed technology is directed towards monitoring media content, including without presenting the monitored media content via a media presentation device, or while presenting in parallel. In general, supplementary data describing the monitored media content is obtained, e.g., generated by a media server based on the content being monitored. The supplementary data is presented via a user interface for a user to monitor, e.g., as displayed text, documents, audio in or other ways such as a combination of text and images. The user interface can be a primary presentation device the user is using, and/or another user device. The supplementary data can describe scenes of video, and/or transcriptions of audio, for example. The supplementary data can be interacted with, such as to switch to present the monitored media content or a selected portion thereof. Multiple media content presentations can be monitored, with supplementary data available for each.

Media content monitoring

A processing system including at least one processor may obtain a parking request for a vehicle to park at a parking facility and may offer a plurality of parking spots of the parking facility for the vehicle, where at least one of the plurality of parking spots that is offered is a parking spot that is predicted to be available, and where the offering includes presenting information regarding predicted adjacent parking spot occupancy of the at least one of the plurality of parking spots for a duration of an intended stay of the vehicle at the parking facility. The processing system may then obtain a selection of a parking spot from among the plurality of parking spots and reserve the parking spot for the vehicle.

Media content memory retrieval

Disclosed is managing (creating and maintaining) attendance/participation data describing remote attendance of attendees of an event, or a replay of the event. The event can be a virtual reality event. When a remote user attends an event, subsequent viewers of the event replay can see a digital representation (e.g., an avatar) of the remote user within the replay as having attended the event in-person. Subsequent replays include digital representations of the remote user and the user(s) that viewed previously replay(s) to emulate their attendance. User can manage their own attendance data, including to obtain proof of attendance. A user can delete his or her presence at an event, such that replays after the deletion do not include that user's representation. A user can go anonymous with respect to an event, such that any replays after the anonymity choice include only a generic representation of the attendee.

Participant attendance management at events including virtual reality events

The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting an avatar in a virtual reality environment in different ways to different users, based on relationship data including a familiarity level and trust level with each other user. The familiarity level data and/or trust level data can be updated with each encounter with another user. The presentations of the same avatar can be different to the other users encountered at the same time, e.g., a lower resolution avatar presented to a less familiar and/or less trusted other user, a higher resolution avatar presented to a more familiar and/or more trusted other user. Audio volume and/or clarity may be similarly modified based on relationship data. A user having an encounter with another user may have a mirror view of the user's own avatar, and can improve or degrade the avatar's appearance (and/or aural output) during the encounter.

A processing system including at least one processor may identify a user viewpoint of a user at a first venue, match a viewpoint at a second venue to the user viewpoint of the user at the first venue, detect a trigger condition to provide visual content of the second venue to the user at the first venue, obtain the visual content of the second venue, wherein the visual content of the second venue is obtained from the viewpoint at the second venue, and provide the visual content of the second venue to an augmented reality device of the user at the first venue, where the augmented reality device presents the visual content of the second venue as a visual overlay within a field of view of the user.

A processing system deployed in a carrier transport vehicle may establish a wireless communication session with a mobile device of a user, assign a zone of the carrier transport vehicle to the user, the zone including a plurality of network-connected devices, obtain a user profile from the mobile device of the user, determine at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, obtain biometric data of the user from the at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, determine a condition of the user based upon the biometric data, identify at least one adjustment to at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices in response to the condition of the user that is determined and the user profile, and apply the at least one adjustment to the at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices.
