Described is a system comprising a computing device, a wireless computing unit and a network management arrangement ('NMA'). The NMA receives a first signal and a second signal from the computing device. The NMA determines a first time value indicative of a difference between a time of receipt of the first signal and a time of receipt of the second signal. The NMA compares the first time value to a first threshold range to generate a first output data. The NMA determines a second time value indicative of a difference between a time of transmission of the second signal and a time of receipt of the third signal. The NMA compares the second time value to a second threshold range to generate second output data. The NMA executes a response procedure as a function of at least one of the first and second output data.

A monitoring system is provided for monitoring positioning and stability of an articulated boom system The articulated boom system includes an articulated boom, having one or more boom sections, extending from a base, along with one or more outriggers extending from the base. The load sensor delivers a signal to the computer indicative of the load on the leading end The boom position sensor delivers information to the computer indicative of the position of the leading end with respect to the base. The outrigger sensor delivers a signal to the computer indicative of the extension of the outrigger(s) from the base. The computer determines the position of the articulated boom based upon the sensed position of the leading end. In a liquid crystal light valve projector, a quarter-wave compensator plate is disposed between a polarization plate and a liquid crystal light valve to compensate for polarization irregularities induced by the off-incident reflections in the cone of light projected onto the LCLV. To verify proper interconnection of an interconnect network, a transitory test signal is introduced at a first node of a network within a system under test. A search is made of all other system nodes for responsive transitions. A comparison is made between the addresses of nodes where transitions are observed within a predetermined time span and the addresses of nodes where transitions are expected. The predetermined time span is adjusted to detect missing or miswired line-conditioning components.

The circumferential edge of the cone is clamped between the front and rear portions of the basket and ultrasonically bonded to an annular surface on the rear of the front portion. The rear end of the cone is cemented to the rear of the voice coil support just forward of where the spider collar is fastened to the voice coil support. The circumferential edge of the spider is ultrasonically bonded to a depressed annular rim at the rear of the rear portion of the basket.
