A door lock assembly for use with a door comprising a movable locking assembly disposed within a recess formed in an edge of a door panel having one or more movable wedge shaped locking elements disposable between a locked position and an unlocked position and having first teeth associated therewith, and a frame member having a channel and second teeth associated therewith, wherein when assembled the locking element is disposed substantially within the channel formed in the frame element when disposed in the locked position, and wherein one or more the first teeth of the locking element are adapted to selectively engage with one or more of the second teeth when a force is applied to the door.

The present invention is directed to a door lock assembly for use with a door, comprising a movable locking assembly disposed within a recess formed in an edge of a door panel having one or more movable wedge shaped locking elements disposable between a locked position and an unlocked position, a drive assembly operatively coupled to the movable locking assembly for moving the movable locking elements between the locked and unlocked positions, and a latch assembly configured for coupling the door to a door frame and operable independently of the movable locking assembly.

The at least one movable member is positioned in an other of the panel and the frame and moves the anchor between the first position and the second position. The actuator is connected to the at least one movable member and drives the at least one movable member. The seal activation system is connected to each of the actuators of the plurality of sealing systems.

The first panel is within and movable relative to the frame, comprising: The first sealing system is configured to engage a first portion of the sash with a first portion of the frame. The third sealing system is configured to engage a meeting rail of the first panel with a meeting rail of a second panel within the frame. The first panel is movable between at least an open position and a completely closed position. Prior to the first panel being in the completely closed position, engagement of the first sealing system begins and drives engagement of at least one of the second and third sealing systems.

Self-driving combination sealing system for single-hung door/window

A modular sealing and seal activation system for use with a combination of a panel and a frame includes a plurality of sealing system modules and a seal activation system. The plurality of sealing system modules are disposed within the frame and are removably attachable to the frame. Each of the sealing system modules is movable between a disengaged configuration and an engaged configuration. The seal activation system is connected to at least one of the sealing system modules, and the seal activation system moves the at least one of the sealing system modules between the engaged configuration and the disengaged configuration. The plurality of sealing system modules are substantially, identically sized, and the seals, in combination, are formed substantially, completely around the panel.
