Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including a crown and an elasticizing kit, the elasticizing kit including a double-sided sew flange, the double-sided sew flange having a first terminating end opposite a second terminating end, each of the first and second terminating ends including a respective slot for inserting material, a size-adjusting mechanism including at least one strap and adapted to selectively adjust a size of the headwear, the size-adjusting mechanism being coupled to the double-sided sew flange, and an elastomeric strap coupled to the size-adjusting mechanism, the elastomeric strap being attached directly to the slot of the first terminating end of the double-sided sew flange or the slot of the second terminating end of the double-sided sew flange.

Embodiments are disclosed for a clasp including a top loop having a catch end, a bottom loop coupled to the top loop, the catch end positioned above the bottom loop at a first side of the clasp, and a depression at a second side of the clasp, opposite the first side, a thinnest part of the second side of the clasp being formed by the depression.

Embodiments are disclosed for a clasp configured to accommodate a strap of a piece of headwear, including a top loop having a catch end at a first side of the clasp, the top loop including a top portion that extends from a second side of the clasp to the first side along a horizontal axis of the clasp, the catch end extending from the top portion along an s-shaped curve to form a tip of the catch end; a bottom loop coupled to the top loop via a common middle portion, a top surface of the common middle portion having a lip; and a depression at the top loop on the second side, a thinnest part of the top loop at the second side of the clasp being formed by the depression.

For example, the headwear may include a headwear body and one or more slits disposed on a side panel of the crown, each slit providing access to a pocket formed in the side panel of the crown, the pocket including one or more strips of a retaining material coupled to an inner surface of the pocket.

Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including a crown including a cap, a strap extending from the crown, the strap including two strap portions extending from different locations of the crown, and a clasp coupled to the strap at terminal ends of the two strap portions, the clasp having a top loop and a bottom loop, wherein the top loop is joined to the bottom loop via a hinge, a top surface of the bottom loop extending from the hinge having a substantially linear declination along at least a portion of the top surface.

For example, the headwear may include a headwear body including a crown, and a hat brim extending from the crown, the hat brim including one or more slits forming a hinge on an underside of the hat brim for folding the hat brim, each slit being reinforced with bias material along each edge of the slit and a center webbing over an opening formable under the slit when the brim is in a folded position, the bias material being coupled to an inner surface of each edge of the slit.
