Light-emitting or light-reflecting displays with enhanced visual characteristics, include a display based on light-emitting elements such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs). A LED display or screen with improved visual performance is herewith presented for particular use or application in a studio environment where the quality performance of both images, when being captured by a camera or an audience, is challenged. The use and applications of such display, include systems and methods making use of such display, and more particularly concerning the use and application of such displays in studio environments.

Systems, methods, and devices for improved light-emitting display and interplay

A method and related system are disclosed for altering the light output of a light source, or for altering the light output and/or white point of a light source display, such as an RGB LED or OLED display, herewith using only correction data, which could be brightness correction data, and amongst which for example calibration data could be used. Hence, the need to perform cumbersome measurements and/or adaptations is herewith limited or avoided.

A deformable display is provided, particularly a flexible, stretchable, and transparent deformable display based on light-emitting elements such as for example light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Methods of use and applications of such deformable display, including systems and methods making use of such deformable display. In addition a flexible, stretchable and transparent display is provided being deformable in real-time while maintaining deformability.

An at least partially self-powered photovoltaic sunshade and display system is provided, including a plurality of panels arranged in an array. Each of the plurality of panels has two sides, including a first side including a plurality of photovoltaic cells or a photovoltaic layer, and a second side having an array of light-emitting elements. The at least partially self-powered photovoltaic sunshade and display system includes energy storage means that receives charge from the plurality of panels and provides electrical power to the array of light-emitting elements. Each of the plurality of panels is rotatable about an axis such that the two sides are respectively rotatable towards or away from the sun, and towards or away from an exterior environment.

Display systems and methods are disclosed. A display system includes one or more display units, each respectively comprising a display tile and a processor. Each of the display tiles includes one or more LEE display modules, each of the LEE display modules respectively including an array of a plurality of light-emitting elements (LEEs). Each of the processors are configured, for the respective display tile, to: receive position information of at least one of said one or more LEE display modules, receive data to be displayed by said at least one of said one or more LEE display modules, said data having an original location to be displayed to, and perform a mapping of said data to be displayed to a target location of said at least one LEE display module taking into account said position information of at least one of said one or more LEE display modules.

A display system is provided that comprises a display panel having a plurality of pixel arrangement. Each pixel arrangement comprises at least one light emitting unit, at least one driver circuit operably coupled to the light emitting unit, and at least one digital counter operably coupled to the driver circuit. In this regard, the digital counter is configured to store a data value to be counted and to toggle a state of the driver circuit upon expiry, thereby toggling a state of the light emitting unit to perform luminance control of the pixel arrangement.

A standalone light-emitting element display tile, such as for instance a light-emitting diode display tile and method is disclosed. The standalone light-emitting element display tile can be a lighting fixture, an image display device, and/or a video display device. The standalone light-emitting element display tile includes a portable board having any arrangement of light-emitting elements thereon, a control module, and a power module. In one embodiment, the standalone light-emitting element display tile is a fully autonomous and independent light-emitting element display tile that features wireless communications and battery power, wherein there are no signal cables or power cables connected to the standalone light-emitting element display tile. Further, a method of using the presently disclosed standalone light-emitting element display tile is provided.

A light-emitting display system and methods are provided. The light-emitting display includes a processor and a display having a plurality of light-emitting elements (LEEs). The LEEs comprise at least three basic primary colors, and at least one additional primary color.
