There is provided a system for producing hydrocarbon material from a subterranean formation. The system includes a separator for separating gaseous material from reservoir fluid obtained from the subterranean formation. The system is configured to mitigate interference to the separation.

Downhole separator

There is provided parts for assembly to produce a flow diverter configured for disposition within a wellbore. The parts include an insert-receiving part including a passageway, and a flow diverter-effecting insert configured for insertion within the passageway. The flow diverter-effecting insert is co-operatively configured with the insert-receiving part such that a flow diverter is defined while the flow diverter-effecting insert is disposed within the passageway. The flow diverter is configured for: receiving and conducting a reservoir fluid flow; discharging the received reservoir fluid flow into the wellbore such that gaseous material is separated from the discharged reservoir fluid flow within the wellbore, in response to at least buoyancy forces, such that a gas-depleted reservoir fluid flow is obtained; and receiving and conducting the obtained gas-depleted reservoir fluid flow.

Systems and apparatuses for separating wellbore fluids and solids during production

There is provided apparatuses, and related systems, for effecting production of oil from a reservoir. A flow diverter is provided and configured to direct flow of reservoir fluids such that gases and solids are separated. A system is also provided, including the flow diverter, and is disposed within a wellbore. A pump is also provided, and disposed in fluid communication with, and downstream from, the flow diverter, for receiving reservoir fluids from which gaseous and solid material have been separated by the separator.

There is provided apparatuses, and related systems, for effecting production of oil from a reservoir. A separator is provided and configured to mitigate problems with solid debris accumulation within the wellbore. A system is also provided, including the separator, and is disposed within a wellbore. A pump is also provided, and disposed in fluid communication with, and downstream from, the separator, for receiving reservoir fluids from which gaseous and solid material have been separated by the separator.

A reservoir fluid production system for producing reservoir fluid from a subterranean formation is provided for mitigating gas interference by effecting downhole separation of a gaseous phase from reservoir fluids, while mitigating entrainment of liquid hydrocarbon material within the gaseous phase.
