A valve for use in an endoscope may comprise a proximal valve stem member having a first lumen extending from a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the proximal valve stem member to a distal opening at a distalmost end of the proximal valve stem member. A distal valve stem member may have a second lumen with a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the distal valve stem member. The proximalmost end of distal valve stem member may be received within the distal opening of the first lumen. The distal valve stem may be movable relative to the proximal valve stem.

Medical valve

A medical device that includes a sheath, a tool within the sheath and movable relative to the sheath, and a handle including a rotation assembly configured to rotate the tool relative to the sheath in response to rotation of the rotation assembly relative to a portion of the handle. The rotation assembly rotates the tool relative to the sheath at predefined angular intervals and inhibits movement at each of the predefined angular intervals.

A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

Medical cleaning valve

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for air/water and flushing valves. For example, an endoscopic valve of the present disclosure may include a valve stem with contiguous first and second channels and with first and second ports formed within a sidewall of the valve stem. A series of seals may be disposed around an outer surface of the valve stem proximal and distal to the first and second ports. A gating member may be slidably disposed within the proximal channel and a valve insert may be disposed between the proximal and distal channels.

Endoscope air/water flush adaptor and method

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses, devices, and methods for connecting a device to an endoscope. In one implementation, an apparatus for connecting a device to an endoscope includes a multi-tined connector and a locking sleeve. The multi-tined connector is configured to engage with a port of an endoscope having a non-circular flange. The multi-tined connector includes a body portion and a plurality of tines connected to the body portion. The body portion has a lumen axially extending therethrough and an outer locking interface. The tines are radially deflectable, have outer tapered surfaces, and operate between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein in the engaged position, the tines engage with the port. The locking sleeve operates between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the locking sleeve holds the tines in the engaged position, and in the unlocked position, the locking sleeve leaves the tines in the disengaged position.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses, devices, and methods for locks for endoscopic accessories. In one implementation, an adjustable lock for an endoscopic accessory includes a body slidably mounted upon a rail of the endoscopic accessory, and an arm extending about a portion of the body. The arm may be connected to the body and pivotable relative to the body between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, teeth on an inner surface of the arm may engage a toothed rack on the rail such that the adjustable lock is secured to the rail. In the open position, the teeth on the inner surface of the arm may be clear of the toothed rack such that the lock may slide relative to the rail.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses, devices, and methods for secure connections between tubular structures. In one implementation, a first tube constructed of nitinol may have windows formed on an end thereof. A second tube constructed of stainless steel tube may be inserted within the first tube, and the windows may be filled with adhesive or solder. The adhesive or solder may bond with the first tube, forming connection pins which secure the tubes together. In some embodiments, the connected tubes may form an endoscopic needle. The nitinol portion of the needle may be sufficiently flexible for positioning within the bending section of an endoscope without deformation. The stainless steel portion of the needle may render the needle significantly less expensive than prior needles constructed solely of nitinol.
