The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising a first heterophasic propylene copolymer, a second heterophasic propylene copolymer and optionally an inorganic filler. The present invention further relates to a process for the preparation of said polymer composition. The present invention further relates to an automotive part comprising such polymer composition.

The present invention relates to a polymer composition with a high heat deflection temperature comprising a first heterophasic propylene copolymer, a second heterophasic propylene copolymer and optionally an inorganic filler. The invention relates to a glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polymer composition comprising a sheathed continuous multifilament strand comprising a core that extends in the longitudinal direction and a polymer sheath which intimately surrounds said core, wherein the core comprises an impregnated continuous multifilament strand comprising at least one continuous glass multifilament strand, wherein the at least one continuous glass multifilament strand is impregnated with an impregnating agent, wherein the polymer sheath consists of a thermoplastic polymer composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, wherein the glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polymer composition comprises a liquid color composition comprising a pigment and a liquid carrier comprising a dicarboxylic acid ester and/or an unsaturated long-chain aliphatic fatty acid having 13 to 21 carbon atoms.

Glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polymer composition

The invention relates to a process for producing a glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polymer composition, comprising the sequential steps of: a) unwinding from a first package of at least one first continuous glass multifilament strand having a first filament thickness t1 and a second package of at least one second continuous glass multifilament strand having a second filament thickness t2 larger than the first filament thickness t1 and b) applying a sheath of a thermoplastic polymer composition around the at least one first continuous glass multifilament strand and the at least one second continuous glass multifilament strand to form a sheathed continuous multifilament strand.

Process for producing glass fiber-reinforced composition

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic composition, e.g., for automotive parts, comprising: (A) from 10 to 69 wt. % polypropylene(s); (B) at least 30 wt. % heterophasic propylene copolymer comprising: from 70 to 92 wt. % a propylene-based matrix consisting of a polypropylene, wherein the propylene polymer has an intrinsic viscosity IV; from 8 to 30 wt. % dispersed ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer having an ethylene content of between 10 and 55 wt and an intrinsic viscosity IV; and wherein the ratio of IV/IVis between 3 and 7; C) from 0-30 wt. % ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin elastomer comprising ethylene and a C3 to C10 &#x3b1;-olefin; D) from 1 up to 30 wt. % talc as a filler; E) from 0-10 wt. % high-density polyethylene (HDPE); and F) from 0-3 wt. % additional additives.

The present invention relates to a moulding composition comprising polypropylene, inorganic filler and mould release composition, wherein the mould release composition comprises maleic anhydride modified polypropylene and glycol or glycerol ester of a fatty acid.

Moulding composition

The invention is directed to a polypropylene composition, to a three-dimensional article comprising said polypropylene composition, and to the use of said composition for automotive articles. The polypropylene composition of the invention comprises: &#x2014;40-90% by total weight of the composition of a polymer blend comprising polypropylene having a melt flow index as measured according to ISO 1133 at 230&#xb0; C. and 2.16 kg of 2.0-100 g/10 min; &#x2014;5-25% by total weight of the composition of one or more plastomers; &#x2014;0.5-25% by total weight of the composition of mineral filler selected from the group consisting of phyllosilicates, mica or wollastonite; and &#x2014;0.2-4% by total weight of the composition of glass fibers having an average fiber diameter in the range of 5-30 &#x3bc;m.
