A device for managing cables for an information handling system may include a rigid but flexible body defining multiple cable retaining regions. Each of the multiple cable retaining regions may include a first portion shaped and sized to receive and retain a first type of cable having a first cross-sectional geometry, and a second portion shaped and sized to receive and retain a second type of cable having a second cross-sectional geometry different than the first cross-sectional geometry.

Cable management system

A rack system for supporting one or more information handling systems is provided. The rack system may include a rack and one or more rails coupled to the rack and configured to support one or more information handling systems. At least one of the rails may include an upper support structure, a lower support structure, a slot defined between the upper and lower support structures and configured to receive a guide structure of the information handling system, and a shelf. The slot may have a front end opening proximate to a front end of the rail, and extend toward a back end of the rail. The shelf may extend forward from the front end opening of the slot, and can support a portion of the information handling system when the guide structure is not received in the slot. The shelf may also not be coupled to any other rail.

A rail system for supporting one or more information handling systems in both a four-post rack and a two-post rack includes a bracket support member, first and second toolless connection brackets coupled to the bracket support member, and first and second tooled connection brackets coupled to the bracket support member. The toolless connection brackets are configured to couple to first and second posts, respectively, of a four-post rack in a four-post toolless configuration. The tooled connection brackets are configured to couple to opposite sides of a post of a two-post rack in either a two-post flush-mounted or two-post center-mounted configuration.
