The present invention relates to an amidine of the formula (I) and its use as a catalyst for crosslinking a curable composition. The amidine of the formula (I) contains at least one aliphatic amidine group. It is substantially odorless and nonvolatile at room temperature and accelerates the crosslinking of curable compositions very efficiently, without impairing the storage stability of the compositions. It is particularly suitable for compositions based on polymers containing silane groups, with which it is compatible, as a result of which such compositions do not have a tendency to separation or migration or evaporation of the catalyst.

Amidine catalyst for curable compositions

A compound containing at least one hexahydrotriazine unit of formula (I) having at least one amidine or guanidine group and to the use thereof as a catalyst for the crosslinking of a functional compound, in particular a polymer including silane groups. The compound contains at least one hexahydrotriazine unit of formula (I) is producible in a simple process from readily available feedstocks, odorless at room temperature, non-volatile and largely non-toxic. The compound accelerates the crosslinking of functional polymers surprisingly well and by simple variation of the substituents is variable such that it has very good compatibility in different polymers as a result of which such compositions do not have a propensity for migration-based defects such as separation, exudation or substrate contamination.

Catalyst for curable compositions containing hexahydrotriazine structural units

An amidine containing at least one structural unit of the formula (I) and the use thereof as catalyst for the crosslinking of a functional compound, especially of a polymer having silane groups. The amidine is preparable in a simple process from readily available starting materials, is largely odorless at room temperature and is of low toxicity. It accelerates the crosslinking of functional compounds surprisingly efficiently and can be adjusted for optimal compatibility with different compositions via the radical to which the structural units of the formula (I) is bonded, which means that such compositions do not have a tendency to migration-related defects such as separation, exudation or substrate soiling.

A conversion product which has at least one aliphatic amidine or guanidine group and at least one polysiloxane radical, and the use of the conversion product as a catalyst for cross-linking hardenable compositions, in particular based on polymers containing silane groups. The conversion product is largely odor-free, non-volatile, and of low toxicity. The conversion product accelerates the cross-linking of such compositions surprisingly well, does not impair the stability of such compositions in storage, and is very highly compatible, which means that such compositions do not tend toward separation or migration or evaporation of the catalyst.

Catalyst having a polysiloxane structural unit for hardenable compositions

The use of a catalyst of the formula (I) for the crosslinking of a curable composition. The catalyst of the formula (I) contains at least one aliphatic guanidine group. It is substantially odorless and nonvolatile at room temperature and accelerates the crosslinking of curable compositions very efficiently, without impairing the storage stability thereof. It is particularly suitable for compositions based on polymers containing silane groups, where it has very good compatibility, as a result of which such compositions do not have a tendency to separation or migration or evaporation of the catalyst.

Catalyst containing guanidine groups

The use of an amidine of formula (I) and/or a conversion product thereof as a catalyst for the crosslinking of a composition based on silane group-containing polymers. The amidine of formula (I) and the conversion products thereof are essentially odorless at room temperature and non-volatile and accelerate the crosslinking of the composition very well without impairing the storage stability of the composition, and are very compatible in the composition. As a result, the compositions do not have a tendency to separate, migrate or evaporate the catalyst.

Catalyst containing amidine groups

Invention relates to bismuth-containing catalysts, obtainable by reacting at least one bismuth(III) salt or bismuth(III) complex with at least one 1,3-ketoamide with the formula (I). Such complex compounds are suited in particular as catalysts for one- and two-component polyurethane compositions. The invention further relates to two-component polyurethane compositions, including at least one polyisocyanate as the first component, at least one polyol as the second component, and at least one such bismuth-containing catalyst. The invention further relates one-component polyurethane compositions, including at least one polyurethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups, produced from at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyol, and one such bismuth-containing catalyst. The invention also relates to various uses of the aforementioned polyurethane compositions. 

Bismuth-containing catalyst for polyurethane compositions

A silane of the formula (I) containing at least one aliphatic amidine group- or guanidine group-containing alkoxy group, to a method for producing same, to conversion products thereof, and to the use thereof as a catalyst in curable compositions, in particular based on silane group-containing polymers. The silane of the formula (I) is largely odorless and non-volatile at room temperature. The silane accelerates the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of silane groups very effectively without impairing the storage stability of silane group-containing polymers. Additionally, the silane is very tolerable in silane group-containing compositions, whereby such compositions are not prone to separate, migrate, or evaporate the catalyst.

Amidine group&#x2014;or guanidine group&#x2014;containing silane

The invention relates to a composition comprising at least one organic polymer that contains silane groups and at least one catalyst of formula (I). The composition is low in emissions and low-odor, has a good shelf-life, cures rapidly to form a mechanically high-quality, durable material with a very low propensity for migration-related defects such as exudation or dirt retention by the substrate. The composition is particularly suitable for use as an adhesive, sealant or coating.

Rapid-curing, migration-free composition based on organic polymers containing silane groups

A catalyst containing at least one amidine or guanidine group of formula (Ia) or (Ib), which is bound to a silicon atom of a siloxane residue. At room temperature, the catalyst is liquid and odorless. It is particularly suitable as a cross-linking catalyst for curable compositions, in particular for silane group-containing compositions. It is particularly good at accelerating the hardening of such compositions without impairing stability in storage, and displays little volatility but good compatibility. As a result, the compositions do not tend towards separation or migration or evaporation of the catalyst.

Crosslinking catalyst comprising siloxane structural units

Composition including at least one polymer containing silane groups and at least one zinc(II) complex compound of Zn(L)(Y), where k is an integer from 1-10, x is 1, 2, 3, or 4, n corresponds to of ligand L, Y is ligand having &#x2212;1 charge, and L is ligand of where n is 1, 2, or 3, A is Ror polyoxyalkylene group or group of polyoxyalkylated compound optionally having one or two terminal 1,3-ketoamide groups, Rand Rare hydrogen residue or monovalent saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms independently of each other or jointly bivalent alkylene group having 3-6 carbon atoms; Rand Rare hydrogen residue or monovalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 1-12 carbon atoms independently of each other, hydrocarbon group optionally contains one or more heteroatoms, or jointly bivalent alkylene group having 3-6 carbon atoms, which alkylene group optionally contains one or more heteroatoms. The invention further relates to the use of the zinc(II) complex compound of the formula Zn(L)(Y)as a catalyst for the cross-linking of polymers containing silane groups by means of moisture.

Curable composition based on polymers containing silane groups and on a zinc catalyst

The invention relates to dioxomolybdenum (VI) complex compounds of the formula MoO(L)(Y), where the ligand L has the formula (I). Such complex compounds are suitable in particular as catalysts for one- and two-component polyurethane compositions. The invention also relates to two-component polyurethane compositions including at least one polyisocyanate as the first component, at least one polyol as the second component, and at least one such dioxomolybdenum (VI) complex compound as the catalyst. The invention further relates to one-component polyurethane compositions comprising at least one polyurethane prepolymer with isocyanate groups, which are made from at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyol, and comprising such a dioxomolybdenum (VI) complex compound as the catalyst. The invention additionally relates to different uses of said polyurethane compositions. 

Dioxomolybdenum (VI) complex compounds as catalysts for polyurethane compositions

The invention relates to metal complex compounds of the formula M(L)(Y), where the ligand L has the formula (I), and to metal complex compounds which include the reaction product of at least one salt or a complex of a transition metal or a main group metal element of the groups 13 to 15 and at least one 1,3-ketoamide. Such complex compounds are suitable in particular as catalysts for polyurethane compositions. The invention also relates to two-component polyurethane compositions including at least one polyisocyanate as the first component, at least one polyol as the second component, and at least one such metal complex compound as the catalyst. The invention additionally relates to different uses of the two-component polyurethane compositions.

Metal complex compounds as catalysts for polyurethane compositions

The invention relates to a two-component polyurethane adhesive having high strength and elasticity at a particularly low glass transition temperature, suitable as a structural adhesive. The adhesive according to the invention contains a triol, a diol, a polyamine, a polyisocyanate and a polyurethane polymer having isocyanate groups in certain ratios, and a Fe(III) or Ti(IV) or Zr(IV) or Hf(IV) chelate-complex-catalyst.
