An apparatus for providing advertising content to terminals communicating over a communications network is provided. The apparatus includes a processing element that communicates with network elements residing on the network or other networks to receive information regarding the terminals and their users. At least one of the terminals may be a mobile terminal. The processing element communicates an instruction to an advertising platform based on this information, and the advertising platform in turn selects and transmits advertising content to the respective terminals according to the instruction. Such content may include text messages, voice messages, picture messages, video clips, and more. In some cases, the processing element may determine a common characteristic of two or more terminals and their users based on the information received, and advertising content based on that common characteristic may be sent to the terminals. A method, system, and computer program product are also provided.

Providing advertising content to at least one communicating terminal

The present invention relates to a method and server apparatus for providing an impersonal communication service in a telecommunication network, wherein a user is authenticated by a token-based application programming interface functionality and a temporary virtual number is allocated to an impersonal communication session of the user. The allocated temporary virtual number is then used for a telecommunication of the user.

Impersonal mobile communication for internet communities

An emergency telephone call is supported and routed to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in an IP based packet switched wireless communications network. An activate PDP context request is sent from a user equipment to the network. A parameter in said activate PDP context request indicates that the PDP context will be used to transfer an emergency call. An activate PDP context accept message is returned from said support node to said user equipment. Said activate PDP context accept message acknowledges said activate PDP context request message and provides the address of a call state control function. A call setup request transferred to the call state control function includes the Service Area Identity (SAI). The call state control function selects a PSAP based, at least in part, on the SAI included in the call setup request and forwards the emergency call to the selected PSAP.

Telephony services in mobile IP networks

A technique for hiding network element names and addresses in communications between first and second networks includes providing a message generated by a network entity in the first network to be delivered to a target network entity in the second network, the messaging including first and second parts. The message generated by the network entity in the first network is routed to a contact point disposed between the first and second networks in accordance with the first part of the message and the message generated by the network entity in the first network is routed from the contact point to the target network entity in the second network in accordance with the second part of the message.

Techniques for hiding network element names and addresses

The invention relates to a communication method and system wherein a network element of a roaming user is attachable to a visited first network and be served by a serving means of the home network. When the network element of the roaming user is registering or initiating a connection to a called network element of the visited network, a network element of the visited network, such as proxy means, either adds information on the called network element or on a service element of the visited network when sending a message to the home network. The message is preferably sent as a protocol message, in particular a message of the Session Initiation Protocol.

The present invention relates to presentation of content to mobile users. In the method, data associated with presentation of content is transmitted from a communication system, the data including information regarding an event. The data is received at mobile user equipment and stored in a memory of the mobile user equipment. In response to the event, presentation of the content is triggered. The presentation is based on the data stored in the memory of the mobile user equipment.

Provision of content to mobile users

The invention relates to a method and system for establishing an emergency session in a communication system which includes at least one user equipment and one or more network entities involved in establishing an emergency session. When the user equipment initiates a session by sending a message to a network entity indicating an identifier, e.g. the call number or logical name of a called entity, one of said network entities analyses the received identifier. When detecting that the session to be initiated is an emergency session, an information is returned to the user equipment for informing the latter that the initiated session is an emergency session. The user equipment thereupon initiates the execution of an emergency session. Thus, even when the user equipment is unable to detect, by itself, that the intended session is an emergency session, the network will inform the user equipment on the emergency session for ensuring appropriate handling thereof.

Method and system for handling a network-identified emergency session

A call setup request transferred to the call state control function includes the Service Area Identity (SAI). The call state control function selects a PSAP based, at least in part, on the SAI included in the call setup request and forwards the emergency call to the selected PSAP.

The invention proposes a network system comprising a first network element () and at least a second network element (), the second network element being adapted to operate in at least two different modes, wherein the first network element () is adapted to send a message to the second network element, and the second network element () is adapted to set the mode in response to information included in the message and indicating whether a particular procedure is to be performed and/or has been performed. Thus, the second network element sets its mode dependent on whether a procedure like processing of a location request has to be performed or has not to be performed, or, whether a procedure has been performed or not. A communication system and a method and a server for a communication system is disclosed. The communication system comprises communication means for providing communication media for a plurality of user equipment, a storage entity () adapted to store information that associates with at least one of said user equipment, and at least one service provision entity () adapted to serve a client based on information stored in said storage entity. The storage entity () is arranged to receive information associated with the user equipment from other entities () and to associate said received information with a respective user equipment.

Communication system

The present solution relates to a telecommunications system where information is maintained of communication groups available to a user terminal (UE). A communication server (PoC server) of the system is able to receive a request message (-) sent by the user terminal (UE), the request message (-) comprising an indication of the communication group the user wishes to speak to. If the request can be accepted, the communication server (PoC server) transmits a floor granted message (-) to the user terminal (UE). According to the present solution the communication group requested by the user is set (-) as the priority communication group for said user at least for a predetermined time period.

Managing group voice communication in telecommunications system

A communication system including a first administrative subsystem and a second administrative subsystem providing group communication service. The system includes a first server for storing group and list management information of subscribers of the first administrative subsystem. The system also includes a second server for storing group and list management information of subscribers of the second administrative subsystem. Group information management

Disclosed herein is a method for changing characteristics of a signalling link in a communications system including at least two signalling points and at least one signalling link through which signalling information is transmitted from a first signalling point to an adjacent signalling point. The signalling traffic to be relayed is monitored at a signalling point. A procedure for modifying user connections is performed. A modification request message including an identifier value for identifying the object of modification is sent to the adjacent signalling point. The system flexibly adapts to a temporary increase in signalling load. A set of identifier values are used for identifying signalling links allocated in advance to signalling links between adjacent signalling points. When signalling traffic meets a predetermined condition, a signalling link is modified by inserting in the modification message an identifier value belonging to the set.
