Operating heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using occupancy sensing are described herein. One device includes instructions which cause a processor to receive building information including information defining a plurality of spaces of a building, occupancy sensing system information describing a location of each of a plurality of occupancy sensing system fixtures with respect to a representation of the building, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system information describing a relationship between the plurality of spaces and a plurality of HVAC devices installed in the building, create a mapping between a space of the plurality of spaces, a fixture of the plurality of fixtures, and an HVAC device of the plurality of HVAC devices based on the building information, and modify an operation of the HVAC device based on the mapping and responsive to a determination of occupancy in the space by the fixture.

Extracting and publishing point data from a building site model

A refrigeration manager that can be used to monitor and control disparate refrigeration systems at a site, even when the refrigeration systems are manufactured by different vendors. The refrigeration manager provides common views for the disparate refrigeration systems, which may help a technician more easily monitor and control the various refrigeration systems at a site.

A demand response system incorporating an enterprise demand manager (EDM), and a universal demand response gateway (UDG). The EDM may provide a single unified web interface. It may provide a cloud application that allows an operator of an enterprise to create and send load/energy reduction requests to buildings of one or more groups of buildings in the enterprise. The cloud application may provide controls to the buildings based on market conditions, dispatch demand response (DR) events to the buildings, and provide feedback to confirm that requested reductions are occurring in the buildings. The DR events may include the buildings in an energy market, a load/energy reduction intensity level, and a target load/energy reduction amount for each building. The UDG may perform as a gateway between various DR automation servers (DRAS's) and multiple supervisor controllers at the buildings.

System and approach to integrate and manage diverse demand response specifications for multi-site enterprises

An energy management and control system that may manage versioning firmware for devices. The system may be structured in a hierarchy of enterprise, site and field levels, with one or more computing platforms at the various levels. An enterprise supervisor may detect and obtain new version firmware for the devices at the field level. The new version firmware may be transferred from the supervisor to one or more site controllers. The one or more site controllers may transfer the new version firmware to eligible field devices. The devices may report to their respective site controllers a status of a transfer of the new version hardware. The site controllers may report to the supervisor the status of the transfer. Detection of new version firmware may be automatic. Transfer of the new version firmware to virtually all of the eligible devices may be automatic.
