According to one embodiment, a control system includes a first electronic device and a second electronic device connectable to the first electronic device via an audio cable. The first electronic device generates first sound data encoded with status information indicative of a state of the first electronic device, and transmits the first sound data to the second electronic device via the audio cable. The second electronic device receives the first sound data from the first electronic device via the audio cable, acquires the status information by decoding the first sound data, and displays the status information on a screen of the second electronic device.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device is connectable to a wearable device including a display device, an attachment sensor, and a posture sensor. The electronic device includes a screen direction controller configured to control a direction of a screen of the display device according to a posture of the wearable device detected by the posture sensor for a period of time beginning at a time when the attachment sensor has detected that a user has put on the wearable device.

According to one embodiment, when an external device is connected, the electronic device detects devices in the external device, and setup of detected devices. When the electronic device is powered, when a power state is restored from a hibernation or a sleep state to a normal state, or when the external device is connected, it is determined whether a first device is included in the detected devices. When the first device is included and when setup of a second device is failed, detection of devices and setup of detected devices are repeated.

A mobile apparatus is provided with: a display module configured to display an image; a camera disposed on a same side as a side on which the display module is provided and configured to capture a camera image including a user's face; a motion detecting module configured to detect a motion state and a stop state of the mobile apparatus; an image controller configured to determine a face orientation of the user's face from the camera image and control a display orientation of the image to be displayed in the display module; and a camera activating module configured to activate the camera when the motion detecting module detects a change from the motion state to the stop state, and to turn off the camera when the image controller completes a determination on the face orientation.
