An X-ray analyzer includes a transmission X-ray inspecting portion having a first X-ray source and a transmission X-ray detector for detecting a transmission X-ray that passed through a sample from the first X-ray source, and a fluorescent X-ray inspecting portion having a second X-ray source and a fluorescent X-ray detector for detecting a fluorescent X-ray output from the sample when the sample is irradiated with an X-ray from the second X-ray source. A movement mechanism moves a sample stage that supports the sample. A foreign matter position calculating unit calculates a position of foreign matter in the sample, and a movement mechanism control unit controls the movement mechanism so that the position of the foreign matter calculated by the foreign matter position calculating unit coincides with an optical axis of the second X-ray source.

X-ray analyzer and X-ray analysis method

A thermal analysis equipment includes a thermal analysis data preservation function that preserves, as thermal analysis data, signals from a temperature sensor and a physical quantity sensor that detect a temperature and a change in physical quantity, respectively, of a sample. An electromagnetic-wave data acquisition control function controls acquisition of electromagnetic wave data in accordance with setting of a trigger to acquire the electromagnetic wave data. An electromagnetic-wave data preservation function preserves the electromagnetic wave data. An electromagnetic-wave data correlation function correlates the preserved electromagnetic wave data to a position on the thermal analysis data when the trigger is set.

Thermal analysis equipment

A thermal analysis apparatus possesses a temperature sensor measuring a temperature of a heating furnace inside, a temperature program setter which can set a temperature program and outputs a temperature program signal, a temperature control section adjusting a supply electric power to a heater in compliance with a difference between the temperature program signal and a detection signal of the temperature sensor, a processor section calculating an air flow rate corresponding to a program temperature, and a mass flow controller which adjusts an air flow rate supplied to the heating furnace inside in compliance with a signal of the air flow rate calculated by the processor section. In the processor section, operation expressions calculating the air flow rate are set so as to differ respectively in a higher temperature side and a lower temperature side than a predetermined boundary temperature.

Thermal analysis apparatus

To enable the reduction in working efforts by hand by performing control a drying operation by appropriately selecting dry conditions depending on the connection mode of the cooling device, and removal of moisture and the like without fail. The thermal analysis system uses a heater and a cooling device to raise and decrease the temperature inside the purge box. In the drying method for the thermal analysis system, the drying operation is performed by: previously setting dry conditions depending on the connection mode of the cooling device; starting control of an opening time dry process upon activation of the thermal analysis system; supplying a predetermined amount of dry gas into the purge box in accordance with the dry conditions corresponding to the selected connection mode of the cooling device with the cooling device kept off; and making the temperature control module control the temperature of the dry gas.

Thermal analysis system and method of drying the same

A differential scanning calorimeter has a heat sink for accommodating therein a measurement sample and a reference material, and a differential heat flow detector that detects a temperature difference between the sample and the reference material. A cooling mechanism cools the heat sink, and a thermoconductor is disposed between the cooling mechanism and the heat sink and forms a heat flow path between the two. A first heater heats the heat sink, and a second heater heats the thermoconductor to thereby heat the heat sink. The second heater begins operating before the first heater nears its rated maximum output power.

Differential scanning calorimeter with a second heater

A derived data display adjustment system for a sample analyzer allows user selection of one or more displayed images to be subjected to a derived data calculation process. A derived data user interface is displayed on a display screen in response to user selection of one or more displayed images to enable user selection of a derived data calculation process. A determination is made as to whether or not display of the derived data may be achieved without interfering with other displayed images. If not, a derived data adjustment user interface is displayed to enable a user to select a convenient display location for display of the derived data.

Derived data display adjustment system

In order to provide means for suppressing vibration of a balance arm of a thermogravity apparatus when changing a sample at low cost and with a minimal footprint, there is therefore provided a balance arm having a sample holder, a detector for detecting an amount of shift of the balance arm from an equilibrium position, a control circuit for carrying out feedback control towards the equilibrium position of the balance arm, a driver for driving the balance arm towards the equilibrium position, an exchange stage detector for detecting when a sample is being changed, and a fixed output holding circuit for maintaining the output of the driver at a fixed level while the exchange stage is indicated by the exchange stage detector, wherein output of the driver is fixed during the sample exchange stage.

Thermogravimetry apparatus

A thermal analyzer comprising a measurement module ( ) having a heating furnace ( ), a measurement station ( ) which controls the measurement module ( ) and has a measurement user interface, a monitor ( ) and software operating on respective central processing units ( and ). An inquiry made about the existence of data and transfer of user-designated data to the measurement stat ion ( ) in which measurement data are stored from the monitor station ( ) permits us to monitor the data at the monitor station ( ).

Thermal analyzer

A thermal analyzer is capable of separating a baseline component, a convex peak component and a concave peak component. During concave peak separation, arithmetic symbol inversion is performed by an arithmetic symbol inverter and separation into basic peaks is performed by basic peak optimization. Arithmetic symbol inversion is performed after separation by a second arithmetic symbol inverter. During convex peak separation, no arithmetic symbol inversion is performed.

The DSC (DTA) signal waveform measured under an experimental heating rate condition is separated into a base line and individual basic peak elements, and the respective activation energies are calculated corresponding to each of basic peak elements separated. A DSC (DTA) signal that should be obtained at an another heating rate is estimated from the data obtained from the experimental heating rate and it is outputted. In this process, the temperature shift caused by heating rate difference is corrected using the values of activation energies obtained.

Differential thermal analyzer

A CPU 8 computes differential data of thermal analysis data in a data memory 9a, stores the differential data in a differential data memory 9b, scans secondary differential data, and detects the crossing point of a set differential width as a peak point. The CPU 8 computes second differential data, stores the data in a second differential data memory 9c, scans the second differential data, detects then as a stable area when a part within a set second differential width continues as for as over a set length and the corresponding thermal analysis data has a certain gradient or less. The scanning of the differential data is performed to detect the peak of the differential data as the maximum gradient point. Computation of the transition point and heat of transition having made a peak point, stable area, and maximum gradient point as specified points is performed, and the results are outputted to a CRT 7 or the like.

Apparatus for thermal analysis

A waveform display device for shortening the working time for displaying a waveform representing physical quantity data which has been obtained by an analyzing instrument or the like, the device allowing input of data associated with different units of measurement. In the waveform display device, data composed of numerical values and units are input, and the numerical values and units are separated from each other. The numerical values are converted to internal data of a waveform display member while the units are analyzed to calculate a multiplier and/or an offset value, and the internal data to which the numerical values are converted are subjected to a processing using the multiplier and the offset value thus obtained. The calculation result is converted to a display coordinate value and displayed on a display member, so that the data input in different measuring units are converted into a single selected measuring unit.

Waveform display device

A graph display device designed to facilitate editing of measurement results, composed of a statement input unit for inputting a statement in the form of given characters, a position input unit for inputting a desired display position of the statement, a position adjustment unit, a storage unit for storing measurement results, a logically operating unit and a display unit. A statement inputted through the statement input unit is adjusted to a display position inputted through the position input unit by means of the position adjustment unit to output statement image data, and the logically operating unit superposes the statement image data and graph image data outputted from the storage unit to generate composite image data effective to enable the display unit to display a composite image which is composed of the graph image and the statement image associated with a specific point of the graph image.

Graph display device

A heat analyzer equipped to automatically perform operations necessary for protection of measured data and for restart when a problem occurs or a measurement ends and to quickly turn off all power sources by a command input manually by an operator to a system section after daily use. At least one measurement-section power source 6 which can be turned off by an associated measurement controller 5 and a system-section power source 14 which can be turned off by a system controller 11 are included. When the temperature program of every measurement controller 5 connected to the system controller 11 through data transmission paths 8a to 8c is executed, an external environment sensor 9 detects a problem, or the operator issues a command, the system controller 11 transfers information from volatile memory 10 to a nonvolatile memory 13 before commanding every measurement controller 5 to turn off the measurement-section power source 6 and providing the system-section power source 14 with a control for turning off the system-section power source.
