An agricultural machine includes a body, a connecting mechanism, an operating device for pivoting the connecting mechanism into at least two working positions, transmission elements which include at least one gearbox, and a control mechanism intended to pivot the gearbox into operating positions corresponding to the working positions of the connecting mechanism. In accordance with the invention, the control mechanism is installed, among others, between the gearbox and the operating device. This control mechanism can also include a first control cylinder installed between the connecting mechanism and the body and connected in series to a second control cylinder installed between the body and the gearbox.

A mowing machine includes a harvesting mechanism which extends during mowing transversely to a working direction, and a lightening device for the harvesting mechanism which includes at least one elastically deformable member whose action can be adjusted by way of an adjustment device connected to the elastically deformable member. The elastically deformable member can include a deformable envelope which contains a gas under adjustable pressure. The adjustment device can include a supply circuit provided with at least one electrovalve or gate connected to the deformable envelope. In an alternative embodiment, the adjustment device can include at least one jack connected to a mechanical spring, and a supply circuit provided with at least one gate or electrovalve connected to the jack. The elastically deformable member of the present invention permits the harvesting mechanism to quickly adjust to a relief of the terrain in which the mowing machine operates while preserving a certain amount of lightening of the harvesting mechanism during its adjustment.

A valve includes a distributor with four ports and two positions. In a first position, a first non-return valve allows only circulation of a fluid from the first port toward the third port, while the second port and the fourth port are directly in communication with one another. In a second position, the third port and the fourth port are directly in communication with one another, while a second non-return valve allows only circulation of fluid from the third port and the fourth port in communication toward the first port.

An agricultural machine has a fixed structure, a retractable assembly connected to the fixed structure by at least one joint such that said retractable assembly can move to at least one locking position, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes (i) at least one stop element mounted for movement with one of the fixed structure and retractable assembly and cooperable with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly to lock the retractable assembly in one locking position; (ii) at least one elastic element cooperating with the at least one stop element to bias the at least one stop element into a stop element lock position in cooperation with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly so as to lock the retractable assembly in the locking position. The stop element is enclosed in the stop lock position such that the stop element can be moved from the said stop lock position only by a special tool. Unlocking and retraction of the retractable assembly from the locking position therefore requires simultaneous actions on the special tool and on the retractable assembly.

The invention relates to a mower comprising first and second processing rollers, drive elements that are used to drive one of the first and second processing rollers and transmission elements that transmit the movement of rotation from one of the processing rollers to the other. The transmission elements are installed in a housing and the housing comprises a first part and a second part, connected to one another by a joint with a geometric axis directed at least approximately parallel to the axes of rotation of the processing rollers. Each of the parts of the housing is, in addition, mounted to pivot at least approximately around the axis of rotation of the corresponding processing roller.

A harvesting machine comprises a body which rests on the ground both in a work position and in a transport position through at least one wheel connected directly or indirectly to the body. The harvesting machine includes an orientation element used to orient the wheel in a direction of transport. The orientation of the wheel for the purpose of transport is performed in a simple and quick manner, while allowing, during work, the pivoting of the wheel around its shaft connecting it to the body.

The invention relates to a farm machine. According to the present invention, the farm machine features a detection device which detects an intermediate position of a connecting device and cuts off the supply to a maneuvering element when the connecting device comes from an end work position into an intermediate position. The action of the detection device can be cancelled so that the maneuvering element can bring the connecting device beyond the intermediate position into the other end position.

A novel harvesting machine is usable with a novel method for transformation from an operating position to a transport position. The machine has a set of work wheels and a set of transport wheels which extend on transverse axes. The transport wheels extend substantially parallel to, and on both sides of the longitudinal axis of the body of the machine. When the work wheels are lowered the resulting raising of the body of the machine permits the transport wheels to be lowered. Subsequently, the body can be lowered onto the transport wheels and the work wheels raised. In a subsequent operation the tongue of the machine is pivoted relative to the body into a transport position parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body. An additional connecting element may be provided for supporting the body when in the transport position.

A mower having a plurality of rotary cutting elements each of which is provided with at least one cutting tool. At least one of the rotary cutting element is driven by a transmission means housed in a housing located under the rotary cutting elements. The housing is composed of cases in which the rotary cutting elements are guided in rotation, and a brace element determines the distance between each two adjacent cases. The housing is made up of at least one module formed by a case and a brace element formed integrally with the case. The front edge of each of said brace elements is pointed over at least a part of its length. At least said at least one rotary cutting element is mounted on a shaft guided in rotation in the bore of a bearing cylinder. The outside surface of said bearing cylinder comprises a first zone of a certain diameter which cooperates with a part of said at least one rotary cutting element to form a baffle and a second zone which is adjacent to said first zone and which has a diameter smaller than the diameter of said first zone. Further, the smallest diameter of the bore of said bearing cylinder is greater than the outside diameter of a power transmission means fastened to said shaft.

The mower comprises at least two mowing groups 6, each of the at least two mowing groups 6 being composed of a cutting bar 8 equipped with cutting elements, the cutting bars 8 being connected to one another by a joint 9 and the mowing groups 6 being connected to the chassis 1 by a suspension device 12, 20, 18; 12, 20, 39. The suspension device 12, 20, 18; 12, 20, 39 comprises an intermediate structure 12 movably connected to the chassis 1 by a connecting device 18; 20, 39. Each one of the at least two mowing groups 6 is connected to the intermediate structure 12 by a joint 16 having an axis at least approximately perpendicular to the vertical plane containing the longitudinal axis of the corresponding cutting bar 8. The joints 16 are capable of movement in the direction crosswise to the direction of work 25 in relation to the intermediate structure 12.
