An information processing system includes: a first information processing device configured to transmit an input/output request to an information storage device; and a second information processing device coupled to the information storage device and configured to: perform an operation; retain an address value in a register; store the input/output request received from the first information processing device in a memory; output a reception notification indicating reception of the input/output request based on a result of comparison between a physical address of the memory, the input/output request being stored at the physical address, and the address value; generate a packet based on the input/output request stored at the physical address of the memory when receiving the reception notification; and output the generated packet to the information storage device.

Managing input/output core processing via two different bus protocols using remote direct memory access (RDMA) off-loading processing system

A core, PCIe devices, and a PCIe switch are provided. A PCIe bridge includes a device tree data that indicates the location of each of the PCIe devices with respect to the core via the PCIe switch and an action list in which a process causing one of the PCIe devices to perform when an event occurs in the one of the PCIe devices. If an event occurs in a specific PCIe device, the PCIe bridge acquires an event occurrence notification; specifies the location of the specific PCIe device from the device tree data on the basis of an event occurrence notification; extracts the process causing the specific PCIe device to perform from the action list; and sends an execution instruction of the extracted process to the specific PCIe device on the basis of the specified location.

Information processing apparatus and control method of the information processing apparatus

An information processing apparatus is connected to a plurality of input/output devices. The information processing apparatus includes an arithmetic processing device configured to perform a computation, and a plurality of communication devices each configured to perform a communication between the plurality of input/output devices and the arithmetic processing device. The information processing apparatus further includes a determination unit configured to determine a communication device whose power consumption is controllable, among the plurality of communication devices, and a managing unit configured to suppress power consumption of the communication device determined by the determination unit.

Apparatus and method for controlling power consumption of devices performing communications between a processor and I/O devices

An apparatus detects an error from data transmitted on a transmission path, and measures a first value indicating the number of times the number of errors detected within a first time interval becomes equal to or greater than a first threshold. The apparatus reports that a failure has been detected on the transmission path of the data, when the first value measured within a second time interval longer than the first time interval becomes equal to or greater than a second threshold.
