Thermal imaging donors are useful for thermal transfer patterning of a metal layer and optionally, a corresponding proximate portion of an additional transfer layer onto a thermal imaging receiver. The compositions are useful for dry fabrication of electronic devices. Also provided are patterned multilayer compositions comprising one or more base film(s), and one or more patterned metal layers. These include electromagnetic interference shields and touchpad sensors.

Metal compositions, thermal imaging donors and patterned multilayer compositions derived therefrom

The invention discloses processes for thermal transfer patterning of a nanoparticle layer and a corresponding proximate portion of a carrier layer, and optionally additional transfer layers, together onto a thermal imaging receiver. The invention is useful for dry fabrication of electronic devices. Additional embodiments of the invention include multilayer thermal imaging donors comprising in layered sequence: a base film, a carrier layer and a nanoparticle layer. The carrier layer can be a dielectric or conducting layer. When the carrier layer is a dielectric layer, the base film includes a light attenuating agent in the form of a dye or pigment.

Donor elements and processes for thermal transfer of nanoparticle layers

A method for medical treatment was developed in which microspheres with novel properties are administered in a mammal. The microspheres are made using a novel process that results in microspheres with new combined properties of high density, low fracture, high swell capacity, rapid swell, and deformability following swell. These microspheres may be administered for void filling, tissue bulking, non-vasculature occlusion, body fluid absorption, and delivery of medications.

Disclosed is a method for making a metal pattern with high conductivity comprising providing a patterned substrate comprising a patterned catalyst layer on a base substrate by a thermal imaging method followed by plating to provide the metal pattern. The reactor is modified to add the iron complex at two or more points along the length of the plug flow reactor, the distance between addition points being dependent on the half-life of the active ethylene oligomerization catalyst.

This invention is a solution process for the preparation of ethylene-a-olefin-diolefin copolymers comprising contacting ethylene, one or more a-olefin monomer, and one or more cyclic diene monomer, with a catalyst composition comprising a bridged, bis(cyclopentadienyl) zirconium compound having an unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl ligand, a multiply substituted cyclopentadienyl ligand, said ligands bridged by a covalent bridging group containing one or more Group 14 element, and two uninegative, activation reactive ligands and a catalyst activator compound. The invention process exhibits high catalyst activity, high comonomer incorporation and high diene monomer conversion rates and is particularly suitable for the preparation of elastomeric ethylene-propylene or ethylene-propylene-diene monomer elastomers.

The invention is directed to olefin polymerization processes using bridged hafnocene catalyst complexes comprising highly substituted noncoordinating anions that are surprisingly stable under high temperature olefin polymerization processes such that olefin copolymers having significant amount of incorporated comonomer can be prepared with high molecular weights. More specifically, the invention is a polymerization process for ethylene copolymers having a melt index of about 0.87 to about 0.930 comprising contacting, under homogeneous polymerization conditions at a reaction temperature at or above 140&deg; C. to 225&deg; C., ethylene and one or more comonomers capable of insertion polymerization with a bridged hafnocene catalyst complex derived from A) a biscyclopentadienyl hafnium organometallic compound having i) at least one unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl ligand or aromatic fused-ring substituted cyclopentadienyl ligand, ii) one aromatic fused-ring substituted cyclopentadienyl ligand, iii) and a covalent bridge connecting the two cyclopentadienyl ligands, said bridge comprising a single carbon or silicon atom; and B) an activating cocatalyst, precursor ionic compound comprising a halogenated tetraaryl-substituted Group 13 anion wherein each aryl substituent contains at least two cyclic aromatic rings.
