A diesel engineincludes: an injector; a control device which controls an injection timing of fuelinjected from the injector; and exhaust circulating means. The control device controls the injection timing of main injection and pre-injection performed prior to the main injection and executes control such that, by ensuring a premixing period of the pre-injection from start of the pre-injection until ignition of an air-fuel mixture of the fuelinjected by the pre-injection and the air AR, a homogenous and lean premixed air-fuel mixture is generated in the auxiliary combustion chamberby the fuelinjected by the pre-injection and air AR, and the premixing period of the main injection from the start of the main injection until ignition of the air-fuel mixture of the fuelinjected by the main injection and the air AR is ensured.

Diesel engine

Provided is an electronic fuel injection type diesel engine capable of performing precise electronic fuel injection control. A fuel injector includes a main body portion having a large diameter, a nozzle portion having a small diameter, and a pressing surface formed at a step portion between the main body portion and the nozzle portion, in which the nozzle portion of the fuel injector is inserted from an inside of a sleeve into an inside of an insertion hole, the fuel injector is pressed toward a vortex chamber by a pressing force, and the pressing force applied to the fuel injector is received by a pressure receiving surface of the sleeve from the pressing surface of the fuel injector via the washer.

Electronic fuel injection type diesel engine

In an engine that includes a blow-by-gas returning system configured to direct blow-by gas within a crankcase to an intake system through an inside of a head cover, the intake system includes a cover intake-passage disposed at a blow-by-gas outlet of the head cover, and the cover intake-passage communicates with a blow-by-gas passage of the blow-by-gas outlet.

In an oil cooling structure of an engine in which a transmission case is attached to one end wall of an engine body, and a transmission mechanism for an accessory drive is provided in the transmission case, the transmission case is formed into a potlid-shaped body having a plurality of rib walls along a front-rear direction, and is attached to an engine front wall with an engine cooling fan, and case inner chamber portions partitioned by the rib walls in the transmission case are configured as a transporting passage of oil circulated by an oil pump.

A cooling structure of a water-cooled engine includes: a plurality of cylindersarranged in a cylinder block; and a water jacket W formed around the plurality of cylinders. Cooling structure of water-cooled engine

A piston for an engine is provided, that makes it possible to improve supply of engine oil to a recessed part thereof. The piston includes a resin coating film and a recessed part on a surface of a skirt part. In the piston, resin coating films are distributed in a patchy fashion on the surface of the skirt part. The recessed part is formed by the surface of the skirt part, between adjacent surfaces of the patchy resin coating films and by the adjacent resin coating films, forming a net-like groove. An outer-edge resin coating film, extending in a piston movement direction, is provided at the ends, in a piston circumferential direction of the skirt part.
