An object of the present invention is to provide a flux-cored wire for gas shielded arc welding, which has merits of both solid wire and flux-cored wire, the merits being high depositing properties and a small amount of slag generated of solid wire and stable welding workability of flux-cored wire. A flux-cored wire for gas shielded arc welding, in which flux is filled in a steel sheath, containing 0.3 to 1.8% (total wire mass percentage, the same rule applies to the following) of Si, 0.8 to 4.0% of Mn, and 0.15 to 2.0% of a synthetic material containing Na O and TiO or a synthetic material containing Na O, SiO and TiO as an arc stabilizer, with a flux filling percentage of 3 to 10% by mass.

Flux-cored wire for gas shielded arc welding

A gas shielded arc-welding flux cored wire having a steel-made sheath filled with flux. The flux cored wire containing, by weight % based on the total weight of the wire, 1.0% or more Si--Mn ferroalloy powder having a grain size of 212 .mu.m or less; 2.0 to 7.0% TiO.sub.2 ; 0.2 to 1.5% SiO.sub.2 ; 0.1 to 1.2% ZrO.sub.2 ; and 0.01 to 0.3% fluoride (F-converted value). The powder comprises, by weight %, 0.40 to 1.20% C, 5 to 12% Si, 19 to 42% Mn, and the balance of Fe, with Si 2.gtoreq.11.89-2.92 C-0.077 Mn (Equation (1)) satisfied.
