There is provided an apparatus comprising: means for receiving, on a source cell, a radio resource control configuration for at least one candidate cell including first configuration information and second configuration information; means for decoding the first configuration information; means for performing the at least one measurement based on the first configuration information; means for transmitting, on the source cell, a measurement report comprising at least one result of the at least one measurement; means for receiving, on the source cell, a message triggering the apparatus to decode the second configuration information; means for decoding the second configuration information; means for receiving, on the source cell, a command to switch the apparatus to a target cell selected amongst the at least one candidate cell; and means for switching to the target cell based on the second configuration information.

Method, apparatus and computer program

An apparatus configured to: perform candidate target cell measurements based, at least partially, on a first configuration; receive, from a network node, an indication to perform activation of at least one transmission configuration indicator state associated with at least one candidate target cell; determine a configuration for performing candidate target cell measurements in response to the indication to perform activation of the at least one transmission configuration indicator state; and use the configuration to measure a reduced set of candidate target cells indicated with the first configuration.

Enabling special UE measurement behavior

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, devices and computer readable media for communication. In an aspect, a method for communication comprises receiving, at a terminal device, from a network device an indication for the terminal device to establish a connection with a target cell. The method also comprises determining a condition as to whether the target cell and a transmit beam of the target cell for the terminal device are known to the terminal device. The method also comprises determining, based on the condition, a delay for the terminal device to establish the connection. The method further comprises establishing the connection within the delay. The embodiments of the present disclosure can improve communication performance of a terminal device.

Known cell definition with beamforming

According to a first embodiment, a method may include determining, by the user equipment, that a number of beam failure instances is greater than or equal to at least one threshold. The method may further include initiating, by the user equipment, at least one measurement on at least one beam candidate set. The method may further include suspending, by the user equipment, non-beam candidate measurements performed by the user equipment.
