To provide a data management system and a data management program enabling a person not having reference authority of a display name of a node of an ordinary hierarchical structure to refer to data associated with a node in an ordinary hierarchical structure, a data management system which, when one of the nodes of a hierarchical structure constituted by a plurality of nodes is specified, notifies at least some values of purchased product data associated with the specified node notifies the ordinary hierarchical structure to a person having reference authority of a display name of a node of the ordinary hierarchical structure, and notifies, to a person not having reference authority of the display name of the node of the ordinary hierarchical structure, a substitute hierarchical structure constituted by nodes of which value of at least one item of the purchased product data is the display name and with which purchased product data including this value is associated.

An operation device includes a screen display section that displays a login screen on a touch panel, a key position changing section, a key information reception section, and a key information determination section. The key position changing section changes positions of a plurality of keys that are displayed on the login screen such that the keys are displayed for a current login process at positions that are different from previous positions at which the keys were displayed for a previous login process. The key information reception section generates input information representing a key pressed on the login screen. The key information determination section allows login of a user when a combination of pieces of input information corresponding to a plurality of key presses performed by the user matches registration information and does not allow login of the user when the combination does not match registration information.

An operation device includes a display unit, an operation unit, a registration unit, a searching unit and a guide screen generator unit. When a registration command is input for a screen displayed on the display unit, specific information of that screen is registered in the registration unit. The operation unit is operated to select a screen, for which a command to display an access procedure is input, out of a list screen relating to information of registered screens. This causes the searching unit to search a route to access that screen from a higher ranked screen. The guide screen generator unit generates a guide screen showing an access procedure utilizing that route and causes the display unit to display the generated guide screen.

A segment extracting section extracts, from a document image, a segment that is an image region containing a series of text characters of a uniform size from a document image. When the segment extracting section extracts a plurality of segments, a segment designating section designates one or more of the extracted segments each as an enlargement segment according to text sizes of the respective extracted segments. A scaling-factor determining section determines a scaling factor for each enlargement segment based on the text size of the enlargement segment and a standard text size. An image creating section enlarges each enlargement segment at the scaling factor determined for the enlargement segment and creates a page image including each enlargement segment as enlarged and each non-enlargement segment that is an undesignated segment among the extracted segments.
