A cooler device for a motor vehicle includes a radiator liquid cooler with a first cooler element for cooling radiator liquid for the motor vehicle's combustion engine, a charge air cooler with a second cooler element for cooling of charge air for the combustion engine, the first and the second cooler elements extending substantially parallel and side by side, with a narrow space between the cooler elements. A screening device in the space between the cooler elements regulates the air flow through the elements. A control mechanism switches the screening device to and fro between an open position in which the screening device does not, or at least does not appreciably, limit the air flow through the cooler elements, and a closed position in which the screening device limits the air flow through the cooler elements.

Cooler arrangement for a motor vehicle

An arrangement for recirculation of exhaust gases of a supercharged combustion engine includes a return line for recirculating exhaust gases, an air-cooled EGR cooler and a bypass line having an extent such that it can lead recirculating exhaust gases past the EGR cooler. A valve is operable to be placed in a first position to lead the whole flow of recirculating exhaust gases through the EGR cooler during situations where there is no risk of ice formation in the EGR cooler, and in a second position to lead the whole flow of recirculating exhaust gases through the bypass line during situations where there is risk of ice formation in the EGR cooler.

Arrangement for recirculation of exhaust gases in a supercharged combustion engine

A cooling arrangement for a vehicle engine including at least one cooling element which has flowing through it a gaseous medium operable to being cooled by an external air flow which flows in a specified direction through the cooling element during operation of the combustion engine. A heat-supplying element is fitted at a location upstream from the cooling element with respect to the direction of the cooling air flow so that at least part of the air flowing through the heat-supplying element also flows through the cooling element. A control device is operable to activate the heat-supplying element so that the air flowing through the heat-supplying element is warmed during situations where there is risk of the gaseous medium in the cooling element being cooled to below a lowest acceptable temperature. The heat-supplying element and the cooling element have a connection so that they constitute a composite unit.

Cooler arrangement at a vehicle

A cooler device for a motor vehicle including a charge air cooler with a first cooler element, an EGR cooler with a second cooler element arranged substantially in plane with the first cooler element is disclosed. A screening device regulates air flow through the cooler elements. A control mechanism is operable to switch the screening device to and from between an open position and a closed position. A first screening portion allows more air to pass through than a second screening portion when the screening device is in the closed position such that air flow through the first cooler element is limited to a lesser extent than through the second cooler element in the closed position.

An arrangement for recirculation of exhaust gases of a supercharged combustion engine. A return line which connects an engine exhaust line to an air inlet line for air supply to the combustion engine, to recirculate exhaust gases via the return line. A first EGR cooler in which the recirculating exhaust gases in the return line are cooled, as a first step, by a first coolant in a first cooling system. A second EGR cooler in which the recirculating exhaust gases in the return line are cooled, as a second step, by a second coolant in a second cooling system, and the second coolant is adapted to be at a temperature substantially corresponding to the temperature of the ambient surroundings when it is led into the second EGR cooler. A charge air cooler for the inlet line, a radiator for the second cooling system to cool the exhaust gases and a radiator element for cooling the second coolant.
