An apparatus is provided for releasably locking a stationary blade to a hair clipper, and includes a stationary blade with a blade opening, and a bracket configured for fixing the stationary blade to the hair clipper. Also, the bracket has a bracket opening. An actuator in the apparatus has a locking formation engageable in the openings and is operable between a first, locked position locking the stationary blade to the bracket, and a second, unlocked position releasing the stationary blade from the bracket.

Apparatus for releasably locking a stationary blade to a hair clipper

A vibrator motor in a hair clipper has a stationary piece and a moving piece. The stationary piece has a primary leg and at least one secondary leg. The primary leg fits through an opening in a coil. A flange is then press fit onto the leg so that the coil is captured on the primary leg. The flange provides a magnetic pole face that is larger than the opening in the coil, which increases the efficiency of the motor. The flange is press fit in a single operation by pressing a primary prong into a primary socket, and pressing two secondary prongs into secondary sockets. The secondary prongs are guided inwardly as they enter the secondary sockets, which closes the primary socket around the primary prong. A drive arm is secured to an arm of the moving piece. The arm is angled in relation to the drive arm to put even pressure on the moving blade in the hair clipper.

A vibrator motor in a hair clipper has a stationary piece and a moving piece. The stationary piece has a primary leg and at least one secondary leg. The primary leg fits through an opening in a coil. A flange is then press fit onto the leg so that the coil is captured on the primary leg. A blade assembly for an electric hair cutter that includes a stationary blade and a cutting blade, where the cutting blade is configured for reciprocating arcuate motion relative to the stationary blade. The stationary blade includes a plurality of stationary cutting teeth, with each of the stationary cutting teeth having a tip at a distal end thereof, and wherein the tips of the stationary cutting teeth define a first imaginary line. The cutting blade includes a plurality of reciprocating cutting teeth, with each of the reciprocating cutting teeth having a tip at a distal end thereof, and wherein the tips of the reciprocating cutting teeth define a second imaginary line. The distance between the first imaginary line and the second imaginary line is greater near both end portions thereof than a corresponding distance at a center portion between the end portions.

Blade assembly for a vibrator motor

A vibrator motor for electric hair clippers, massagers and the like includes a fixed magnetically permeable piece and a moving magnetically permeable piece. The fixed and moving pieces form a plurality of flux gap zones between selected corresponding surfaces of the fixed and moving pieces. Each of the flux gap zones has an air gap formed between the selected corresponding surfaces of the fixed piece and the moving piece. The air gaps have a total gap surface area, and an apparent gap surface area. The apparent gap surface area can be measured by viewing a selected surface which forms each gap through a plane which is generally perpendicular to the direction of the path of oscillating motion of the moving piece, or through a selected cross-section of the fixed or moving piece which is perpendicular to the path. In this invention, the total gap surface area of the gap in at least one of the flux gap zones is greater than the apparent gap surface area of that gap or gaps.
