A system for monitoring tool float on an agricultural implement may include an implement frame, a rocker arm pivotably mounted to the implement frame, and a tool coupled to the rocker arm. The system may also include a biasing element coupled between the frame and the rocker arm, with the biasing element configured to permit the tool to move relative to the implement frame. Furthermore, the system may include a rotational position sensor configured to detect a parameter indicative of a rotational position of the rocker arm relative the implement frame, with the rotational position being indicative of an additional amount of available relative movement between the tool and the implement frame.

In one aspect, a system for monitoring the condition of seedbed within a field may include a plurality of ground-penetrating tools supported by an implement frame adjacent to its forward end. The system may also include a plurality of surface-finishing tools supported by the implement frame adjacent to its aft end. Moreover, the system may include a seedbed floor detection assembly coupled to the implement frame behind the plurality of ground-penetrating tools and in front of the plurality of surface-finishing tools. The seedbed floor detection assembly may include a seedbed tool configured to ride along the seedbed floor. Additionally, the seedbed detection assembly may include a seedbed floor sensor configured to detect a position of the seedbed tool relative to the implement frame, with such position being indicative of variations in a profile of the seedbed floor.

An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and forward and aft secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The forward and aft secondary frames mount gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil. The secondary frames establish a plane and the aft secondary frame is connected to the carriage frame assembly at a greater distance from the plane than the forward secondary frame so that the depth of penetration of the disk blades is uniform during field operation. The tillage implement has outboard wing sections pivotally connected to the secondary frames and annular shims are provided to establish the wing sections and secondary frames in common plane during field operation, the annular shim being rotatable about central axis to present a common surface to the implements irrespective of the orientation of the shims.

By providing an electronic control system in communication with a hydraulic system for adjusting an angle of smoothing tools of a harrow, the smoothing tools may be adjusted more quickly and on the go, including from a tractor cab, for optimum field leveling during a tilling session. The control system may include a hydraulic control valve in communication with a linear actuator. The linear actuator may be in communication with a slide bar disposed in a channel. By configuring multiple bars of a harrow to achieve an angle of rotation defined by the slide bar, the angle of rotation for smoothing tools of the harrow may be precisely controlled by the control system.

An agricultural tillage implement is provided with a soil finishing system that includes a multi-bar harrow and a down pressure-controlled finishing tool that are arranged with respect to each other to enhance soil tilth and leveling, including reducing residual shank grooves in tilled soil, to improve seed bed preparation.

An agricultural tillage implement is provided which includes an electronic sensor assembly supported by a harrow frame and in communication with a hydraulic system. The electronic sensor assembly includes a pivoting arm movable in conjunction with the movement of a first set of smoothing tools and is configured to generate an electrical signal corresponding to the angle of the first set of smoothing tools. The electrical signal is transmitted to a controller and/or an operator in the tractor cab for continuously monitoring the angle of the smoothing tools. The electrical signal is used to allow for the continuous adjustment of the smoothing tools during a tilling session.

An agricultural tillage implement includes: a frame member; and a leveling blade assembly. The leveling blade assembly includes: a leveling blade; an arm coupling the frame member with the leveling blade; and a spring assembly including a spring and a spring guide assembly, the spring and the spring guide assembly being coupled with the arm and the frame member, the spring guide assembly including a sleeve which is slidably related to the spring and which is made of an ultra-high-molecular-weight (UHMW) plastic.

A rolling basket assembly for use with an agricultural tillage implement having a frame. The rolling basket assembly includes a rolling basket and at least one arm assembly. The arm assembly has a first and second structural member, a biased device, a bracket and an actuator. The first structural member extends from the frame. The biased device is pivotally coupled to the first structural member or the frame. The bracket is coupled to the first structural member and to the biased device. The second structural member is pivotally coupled to the first structural member. The rolling basket is rotationally coupled to the second structural member. The actuator is pivotally coupled to both the second structural member and the bracket.

An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The secondary frames mount gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil in a travel direction. Bearing hanger assemblies support the gangs of disk blades below the secondary frames and deflector/scraper elements are mounted on the bearing hanger assemblies for scraping soil and residue from the disk blades and deflecting it away from the travel direction.
