A tool mounting system having at least one support tool structure with at least one tool connected to each of the at least one tool support. A first and second mounting portion is connected to each of the at least one tool support structure and is connectable to a first and second mount on a base, respectively. At least one of the first mounting portion or the second mounting portion has a particular mounting characteristic such that the first and second mounting portions are only correspondable to the first and second mounts of the base to ensure the proper position of the at least one tool support structure relative to the base.

Bar mounted tool adaptor

A tool mounting system having at least one support tool structure with at least one tool connected to each of the at least one tool support. A first and second mounting portion is connected to each of the at least one tool support structure and is connectable to a first and second mount on a base, respectively. The first and second mounting portions have particular mounting characteristics for each of the at least one support tool structure such that the first and second mounting portions are only correspondable to the first and second mounts of the base to ensure the proper position of the at least one tool support structure relative to the base.

A method for mounting a plurality of tool rails of a tool mounting system according to a desired orientation. The method includes mounting a plurality of tool rail supports to a base, wherein each of the plurality of tool rail support has a releasable mount and a lug mount. Each of the plurality of tool rails is assembled to include a mount plug receivable within the releasable mount of the tool rail supports, and a lug receivable within the lug mount of the tool rail supports. At least one of the plurality of tool rail supports is fixed with the releasable mount spaced apart from the lug mount such that only a desired one of the plurality of tool rails can be received in a corresponding one of the tool rail supports.

A tool mount assembly includes drop down connections to aid in mounting of a tool to a moving base and a fail-safe tool mounting system for preventing installation of a tool in an undesired or incorrect manner. A plurality of tool mount rails are received within mounts and are uniquely tailored to assure proper placement of tools such as grippers or vacuum cups at desired locations specific to the application requirements.

A method and device for checking clearance between a stamping die includes a template representative of relative movement between the stamping die and end tool. A template including a surface representing movement of the end tool relative to the stamping die is positioned relative to the stamping die. The position is indicative of a location of the end tool during operation of the stamping die. Contact between the template and the stamping die along the surface representing movement indicates potential contact between the end tool and the stamping die during operation.
