A method of oil production after water flooding includes the steps of: forming at least one injection well and at least one production well in a reservoir; pumping enriched air (at least 30-100 mole-% oxygen with fogged water droplets) into the injection well, so as to maximize gravity segregation of gas/steam and gravity drainage of oil from an attic and/or pinch-out volume of the reservoir; and recycling produced carbon dioxide by injection into a man-made gas cap created around the at least one injection well. The enriched air preferably includes a mixture of 30-100 mole-% oxygen, 0-4 mole-% argon, 0-67 mole-% nitrogen and 0-70 mole-carbon dioxide gas.

Fog enhanced air transportation injection well for in-situ steam/carbon dioxide generation

A method for enhanced oil recovery in a tilted reservoir includes the steps of: providing an injection well and at least one production well, the at least one production well provided at a greater depth in the tilted reservoir than the injection well; injecting carbon dioxide or nitrogen gas into the injection well; injecting enriched air into the injection well so as to cause ignition in the tilted reservoir; reducing production by the at least one production well; draining fluid from an area in the tilted reservoir up-dip of the injection well; and recovering the drained fluid by the at least one production well.

Structural enriched air recovery (SEAR) for oil reservoirs

A sonic oil recovery apparatus for use in a well having a casing therein, has an injector tubing adapted to extend within an interior of the casing and a resonator tube affixed to or within the injector tubing. The resonator tube having an interior flow pathway so as to allow a fluid to flow therethrough from the injector tubing. The resonator tube is suitable for transmitting an acoustic signal of greater than 30 Hz therefrom. The resonator tube has at least two orifice plates formed therein. The orifice plates include an upper orifice plate and a lower orifice plate. The orifice of the upper orifice plate has a diameter greater than a diameter of the lower orifice plate.

Sonic oil recovery apparatus for use in a well

A sonic oil recovery apparatus for use in a well has an injector tubing extending interior of the casing of the well, and a resonator tube affixed to or within the injector tubing. The resonator tube has an interior flow pathway so as to allow a fluid to flow therethrough from the injector tubing. The resonator tube is suitable for transmitting an acoustic signal approximately equal to the resonate frequency of a formation in the well. The resonator tube can have a plurality of orifices plates formed therein such that the fluid flowing through the resonator tube generates the acoustic signal. The resonator tube can alternatively be a solid state acoustic resonator therein.
