A system and method to control environmental parameters of predefined zones within a structure. An embodiment of the system uses damper assemblies that are entirely wireless as a result of energy capturing devices which convert air flow within the HVAC system ductwork into electrical current and a wireless control module that remove the need for hard-wiring for power or control. Still further, an embodiment of the system uses wireless components to monitor the environmental parameters of a structure's zones, process and communicate necessary zone adjustments, and actuate system components.

A gravity flow sludge load-out system for rapid and accurate loading-out of large volumes of treated biosolids from a wastewater dewatering plant, said system includes a plurality of hoppers supported by a main structure having a plurality of vertical support members each resting on a load cell a sludge inlet at the tip of each hopper, and hydraulically controlled metering gates at the bottom. A PLC controls delivery of sludge from a dewatering facility, including e.g. a dewatering centrifuge into the hoppers and then controls load-out of the sludge to a container truck by providing real-time monitoring of net sludge load-out and tight control of metering gates.

A vehicular anti-theft apparatus uses the unbuckling of a seatbelt to produce a surreptitious signal that activates a timing circuit which disables the motor after a preselected period of time. When the seatbelt is unfastened, an electrical signal is generated by a sensor switch within the seatbelt buckle and sent to the timing circuit. This circuit activates a solenoid after the preselected time has elapsed. Activation of the solenoid opens the ignition circuit, which makes the vehicle stall. In order for the motor to be restarted, the timing circuit must be reset using a circuit control keypad. The circuit control keypad is a separate and portable hand-held push-button device that allows an authorized operator manually to enter a secret code. The circuit control keypad plugs into a hidden port, thereby electrically interfacing with the timing circuit.
