Disclosed is a video converter board that converts stroke/raster video data generated by one display subsystem into a video format responsive to a sync-on-green (SOG) control signal and utilized by another display subsystem.

Data messages are transmitted between host data processors and a communications processor. Data messages from a communications processor are transformed for the host processor to which the message is assigned. Data messages from a host processor are transformed for the communications processor. Protocol is established between (a) untransformed data messages from the communications processor and transformed data messages for the communications processor, and (b) untransformed data messages from each host processor and transformed data messages for each host processor. A device interface connects a plurality of host processors to a plurality of buses, each bus being connected to one communications processor. The device interface handles the protocol, transformation and control function in parallel so that messages between a given host processor and terminal connected to a communications processor are processed through a device interface. The result is that user terminals and host applications are managed as 'pools' of logical devices with dynamic session assignment.

Differentiation is employed to eliminate signals from the ground soil or other material in which the object is located, and objects of a particular type are detected from the phases of signals which they produce.

A signaling device to be launched underwater having a fuze body, a time dy element, an ejection charge and at least one carrier having a pyrotechnic composition attached to a parachute. The ejection charge is ignited by an electric squib which is detonated by voltage from a sea water battery. The battery is sealed from sea water until a valve opens to permit entry of water into the fuze body. An electronic deplay module is electrically connected between the sea water battery and squib to delay detonation of the ejection charge until the signaling device has assumed a stable vertical position at the water surface.

Underwater launched parachute flare

A connection across telephone lines includes a resistor having a shunted capacitor circuit holding a normally closed relay open and permitting it to close on closing the telephone circuit, by lifting the handset, to activate a recorder. Replacing the handset opens the circuit shutting off the recorder. A current limiting resistance in the recorder switch circuit prevents damage to the relay while the capacitor provides high current for activating the the relay solenoid. A bridge circuit eliminates polarity of the magnetically biased relay.

Recorder actuator for communication lines

A two-way telephone amplifier uses a microphone-speaker switching system with the microphone normally on. Incoming or off-line voice signal causes switching to open the transmit line and close the receive line. Features of the invention include a bridge circuit with transmit and receive lines all connected to one side of the secondary of a telephone line coupling transformer.
