Information handling system bezel

Devices, systems, and methods for managing chassis of data processing systems are disclosed. The chassis may be managed by reversibly attaching them to structural members such as rails. When so attached, the chassis may be fixedly held in a position. To facilitate access to an interior of the chassis, the chassis may be detached from the structural member and moved to a maintenance position. To detach the chassis from the structural member, the chassis may include a latch assembly. The latch assembly may include features to inform and remind technicians or other persons of the existence, or lack thereof, of various lines connecting the chassis, and components positioned in the chassis, to other components.

Devices, systems, and methods for managing chassis of data processing systems are disclosed. The chassis may be managed by reversibly attaching them to structural members such as rails. When so attached, the chassis may be fixedly held in a position. To facilitate access to an interior of the chassis, the chassis may be detached from the structural member and moved to a maintenance position. To detach the chassis from the structural member, the chassis may include a latch. The latch may be positioned in an ear of the chassis and may be protected by a frame. The frame may include a recess, hole, or other feature to facilitate access to the latch. The access may allow application of force to a single portion of the latch to rotate or otherwise actuate the latch. Actuation of the latch may facilitate detachment of the chassis from the structural member.

A server information handling system is secured by a bezel that couples to an access location, such as an air vent at a front or rear face of a housing. The bezel includes a security structure having a lock and configured to couple directly at the front face or with a bezel extension at the rear face so that the server information handling system can use the same bezel with both a front face or rear face rack mount. The bezel has a lock integrated with the security structure, an air filter that fits over the security structure to filter air flowing into the housing, and a filter brace that captures the air filter by coupling to the security structure over the air filter. The filter brace attaches and detaches at the security structure when the security structure locks a server information handling system housing so that the air filter can be changed while the housing remains secure.

A method for performing an augmented reality location operation. An information handling system includes a compute device, a side cover, and a bezel. The side cover is placed in physical communication with the compute device. The side cover includes a mounting latch that rotates between an open position and a closed position. When in the closed position, the mounting latch securely mounts the compute device on a component. When bezel is placed in physical communication with the side cover, the bezel locks the mounting latch in the closed position.

A server information handling system couples to a rack and is secured with a security device coupled to one side of the information handling system housing clear of the front side of the information handling system so that the entire front side of the housing is available for venting and/or interface devices like a power switch and ports. The security device has a latch that moves vertically in response to an outward and upward pull on a lever engaged with the latch. The latch secures and releases the housing to the server rack, such as at the rail holding the housing in the rack, and releases a pin from a slot of a bezel that covers a front face of the server information handling system. The pin moves vertically in a channel of the latch and is biased to a locked position so that insertion of the server bezel onto the housing will lock the bezel with the pin while the lever remains in a locked position.

Devices, systems, and methods for managing server chassis are disclosed. The server chassis may be managed thermally by controlling a flow of gas through an opening in the server chassis. The server chassis may be managed for security by controlling physical access to various portions of the server chassis, and, for example, to a portion of the server chassis proximate to an opening in the server chassis through which gas flows for thermal management purposes. The server chassis may also be managed electromagnetically by controlling a flow of electromagnetic radiation into and out of the server chassis and, for example, through an opening in the server chassis through which gas flows for thermal management purposes. The server chassis may also be managed structurally by physically reinforcing various portions of the server chassis.
