A connector assembly mechanically and electrically connects a shielded power cable, capable of conducting DC and multiple phase AC electric power, to drive motors and powered accessories of an electric vehicle. The connector assembly includes a shielded power cable, a connector body, a sealing ring, a tapered compression ring and a flexible rubber boot. The hollow frustoconical interior of the connector body and the frustoconical tapered compression ring, with the shield layer of the power cable compressed between them, form a self-locking taper that provides a strong mechanical connection. The sealing ring and the flexible rubber boot inhibit penetration of fluids and particles into the connector assembly. The addition of an adhesive to the compressed section strengthens the connection and reduces corrosion. Filling empty spaces inside the connector body with an adhesive sealer further prevents penetration by contaminants, reduces corrosion and strengthens the connector.

Electric vehicle shielded power cable connector

The invention is directed to a cable breakout assembly () comprising a first gland for a feeder cable () and several second glands () for power feeder subassemblies () and an enclosure () comprising at least one carrier (). The at least one carrier is suitable to be interconnected to at least one second gland.

Environmentally sealed cable breakout assemblies

The invention relates to a test adapter () for operatively connecting a chip to be tested to a test device. The test adapter has a three-dimensional construction with a baseplate () and a cover plate (). The cover plate () has a contact array () having contact elements () coordinated with the chip to be tested in terms of number and arrangement. Arranged between the baseplate () and the cover plate () are side walls () which are arranged at an angle with respect to the cover plate () and have a number of individual connectors () that is coordinated with the chip to be tested.

Test adapter for computer chips

A connector assembly for coupling a plurality of coaxial cables to a substrate, including a housing adapted to be removably attached to a first area of a substrate, the housing having a first wall with an array of holes formed therethrough, and connector bodies releasably retained within the housing in substantial alignment with the array of holes. Each connector body includes a bore extending therethrough, an insulator fixed within the bore, and a center contact releasably positioned within a central bore formed in the insulator. A coaxial cable segment is operatively connected to each of the connector bodies, and each coaxial cable segment includes a center conductor fixed to the center contact and an outer shielding conductor fixed to the connector body. Each of the coaxial cable segments extends outwardly from the housing and has a distal end adapted to be connected to another area of the circuit board.

Connector assembly for coupling a plurality of coaxial cables to a substrate while maintaining high signal throughput and providing long-term serviceability

An array of coaxial cable connectors includes a generally cylindrical-shaped first female member with an inner surface having at least one set of left-hand threads adapted to engage complementary threads on a first male port. A generally cylindrical-shaped second female member has an inner surface including at least one set of right-hand threads adapted to engage complementary threads on a second male port. A mounting member allows for rotation of each of the first and second female members about their respective longitudinal axes while maintaining a portion of the outer surface of the first female member (preferably configured as a gear) in contact with a portion of the outer surface of the second female member (preferably configured as a complementary gear). In operation, rotation of the first female member about its longitudinal axis results in a corresponding rotation of the second female member about its longitudinal axis.
