Techniques for cryptographic messaging are described. In some examples, cryptographic messaging is enabled on a device that at least includes an input/output port configured to receive an encrypted message from a coupled external device; a hardware security module (HSM) configured to decrypt the encrypted message, wherein the HSM is to include storage to store at least one private key to be used to decrypt the encrypted message; and a screen to display contents of the decrypted message.

Satellites may be integrated into a provider network for cloud-based services by utilizing a satellite-deployable computing device to execute one or more cloud services that are accessible by client devices of the provider network via respective associated Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). In some embodiments, the satellite-deployable computing device may process payload data of the satellite in accordance with one or more cloud-based services indicated in control instructions originating from a client device of the provider network. In some embodiments, the processed data may be transmitted to a ground station in accordance with one or more cloud-based services.

Anomalous behavior in a multi-tenant computing environment may be identified by analyzing hardware sensor value data associated with hardware events on a host machine. A privileged virtual machine instance executing on a host machine acquires hardware sensor values and causes the values to be compared to other hardware sensor value data that may be indicative of anomalous behavior; for example, various threshold values, patterns, and/or signatures of hardware counter values generated by analyzing and correlating hardware event counter data. In this manner, potential anomalous behavior on an instance may be determined without having to access customer data or workloads associated with the instance.
