The invention relates to a cooling fan for a cooling system of the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, the cooling fan comprising at least one frame () for retaining a fan motor and a fan motor () for driving a fan wheel (). The invention is characterized in that at least one motor casing component of the fan motor () is injection-molded into the frame material and/or is coated by said material by injection molding when the frame () is formed. The invention also relates to a method for producing said cooling fan.
