An X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to the embodiment includes an X-ray tube, an X-ray detector, image generating unit generating time-series medical images of vasoganglion in a predetermined organ of a subject, region setting unit setting a first upstream and downstream region of a stenosis location in a first blood vessel in the vasoganglion on the medical images, curve generating unit generating a stenosis upstream and downstream curve indicating a change in pixel value in the time-series based on pixel values included in the first upstream and downstream region respectively, stenosis index generating unit generating a stenosis index indicating the degree of stenosis in the first blood vessel based on the stenosis upstream and downstream curve, and display unit displaying the stenosis index.

X-ray diagnostic apparatus and medical image processing apparatus

The present invention provides a method for determining thromboembolic risk in a patient. The method includes processing functional images of a patient's heart in order to create a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling of the patient's heart. Once a CFD model is obtained, various metrics can be determined to estimate the patient's risk of left ventricular thrombosis. This method is particularly suited for determining thromboembolic risk in patients having suffered a myocardial infarction. However, the method can also be applied to a broader population at risk of cardioembolic and cryptogenic stroke.

Computational flow dynamics based method for estimating thromboembolic risk in patients with myocardial infarction

In one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a difference image generating unit and a display controlling unit. The difference image generating unit generates a difference image by calculating a difference in a second X-ray transmission image from a first X-ray transmission image, the second X-ray transmission image being an image in which a myocardial tissue of an examined subject is not opacified and the first X-ray transmission image being an image in which the myocardial tissue of the examined subject is opacified with a contrast agent that has been injected into a coronary artery. The display controlling unit exercises control so that a predetermined display unit displays the difference image that has been generated by the difference image generating unit.

An image processing apparatus according to the present embodiment includes a correcting unit. The correcting unit identifies, based on an observation value of a residual contrast material component that is injected to a subject before a predetermined timing and remains in the subject, the residual contrast material component and a new contrast material component that is newly injected to the subject after the predetermined timing regarding a contrast material component that is included in an image, and corrects an observation value of the contrast material component included in the image.

An apparatus includes a transformation table acquiring unit, a blood-flow information acquisition unit and a blood-flow image generating unit. The transformation table acquiring unit obtains a transformation table for transforming unspecified information representing a concentration of a contrast medium in a myocardium into an unspecified blood flow value image based on a CT image acquired in a concentration transition period. The blood-flow information acquisition unit obtains information representing the concentration of the contrast medium based on a CT image acquired during a constant concentration period. The blood-flow image generating unit generates a blood flow value image based on the information representing the concentration of the contrast medium according to the transformation table.

X-ray CT apparatus and myocardial perfusion image generating system

An X-ray CT apparatus comprises a blood-flow information acquisition unit, a correction value calculating unit and a blood-flow image generating unit. The blood-flow information acquisition unit obtains information of a relative blood flow rate in the myocardium of the subject based on the CT image. The correction value calculating unit obtains a correction value based on the CT image in a concentration transition period defined to be a period from immediately after start of a continuous injection of a contrast medium into the subject until the contrast medium reaching the myocardium increases and is be in a state where it can be considered that the contrast medium is saturated at a constant value. The blood-flow image generating unit generates a blood flow value image in the myocardium by correcting the information of the relative blood flow rate with the correction value.
