An infusion pump for detection of a fluid condition in a flexible tubing is provided. The infusion pump includes a sensor positioned to obtain a value of a tubing force when the tube is received by the infusion pump, a memory storing instructions and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the instructions to generate a force-time curve representative of values of the tubing force obtained by the sensor over time, determine a time-decaying parameter associated with the tubing force characterizing the force-time curve, and determine a fluid pressure value for a fluid in the tube based at least in part on the time-decaying parameter, a material of the tube, a dimension of the tube, and a use history of the tube. A method for using an infusion pump is also provided.

Occlusion detection for infusion pumps

A method may include receiving, from a volume meter at a pump configured to deliver medication to a patient, data indicative of a volume of a medication present in a syringe inserted in the pump. A first counter may be updated, based on the data, in response to the medication being delivered to the patient as a first dose type. A second counter may be updated, based on the data, in response to the medication being delivered to the patient as a second dose type. The volume of the medication delivered to the patient may be determined based on the first counter and/or the second counter. An electronic alert may be sent to a mobile device in response to one or more anomalies being present in the volume of the medication delivered to the patient. Related methods and articles of manufacture, including apparatuses and computer program products, are also disclosed.

Medication tracking system

An indentation type hardness tester applies a predetermined force to an indenter and the indenter produces an indentation on a test specimen, and then measures the shape and size of the indentation. The hardness tester has a tester body and different frames. The tester body has a cavity and a magnetic base. The user selects different frames based on measurement needs and installs the frame into the magnetic base of the tester body. The testing head is equipped with an optical imaging system, the front end of the testing head is equipped with a removable load cell, and the front end of the load cell is equipped with an indenter. The indenter, load cell and optical system are coaxially oriented. A motor moves the tester body to perform the indentation.

Hardness tester

A system including a tube and a force sensor coupled to a wall of the tube via a restraining element and configured to obtain a value of a tubing force when the tube is deformed by the restraining element. The system includes a processor to determine parameters for fitting a curve including the value of the tubing force, to determine a fluid pressure value for a fluid in the tube based on the parameters for fitting the curve, and to activate an alarm responsive to the fluid pressure value and to the parameters for fitting the curve when an occlusion condition is identified in the tube. The parameters for fitting the curve comprise at least one time-decaying parameter(s) associated to the tubing force. A method for using the system and a non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

A method for tracking dose pattern and patient response may include determining, based at least on one or more dose events at a pump configured to deliver a medication to a patient, a dose pattern for delivering the medication to the patient. One or more vital signs associated with the patient may be received from a patient monitor. A presence of one or more anomalies may be determined based at least on the dose pattern at the pump and the one or more vital signs of the patient. An electronic alert may be sent to a mobile device in response to determining the presence of the one or more anomalies. Related methods and articles of manufacture, including apparatuses and computer program products, are also disclosed.

System for monitoring dose pattern and patient response

A modular hardness testing machine has a measuring component and a set of frames. The measuring component includes a housing and locating slot. The measuring component has a locating slot configured to receive a frame. The locating slot allows a user to modularly interchange the frame. The measuring component's housing encloses a presshead, which encloses a load cell having through-holes holding transmission pins. The first end of each transmission pin contacts a displacement measurement sleeve, and a second end contacts a transmission plate. A motor is mounted to the housing. The motor is connected to a reduction drive. The reduction drive reduces speed and drives a lead screw mounted on a bearing mount, and a moveable presshead is driven by the lead screw.

Modular hardness testing machine

A testing machine includes a stand and a test device. The stand includes a base, box frame, a slide device driven to slide by a motor, and a control system controls the force applied on the test specimen. The test device is coupled at the slide device for performing various hardness tests consisting of Rockwell hardness test, Vickers hardness test, Brinell hardness test, micro-hardness test, and tension-compression test. The test device includes a force sensor and a data processing circuit converting an analog signal of the force sensor into digital data to interface with the control system.

Universal testing machine

An apparatus is provided for providing artificial sounds in the vicinity of a toilet. It includes a housing attachable in the vicinity of a toilet and an electronic sound system which is contained within the housing and is activatable by a user of the toilet so as to block out the noise of eliminating. The sound system includes a speech processing microprocessor for providing an electronic signal representing a desired sound. A memory storage device is connected to the speech processing microprocessor for electronically storing a digital representation of the desired sound to be processed by the speech processing microprocessor. A counter is connected to the memory storage device. The counter has a clock for generating an address for the speech processing microprocessor. A variable resister is attached to the speech processing microprocessor for controlling a rate of the clock, and thereby controlling the quality of the desired sound. A switch is connected to the speech processing microprocessor for turning on the desired sound. An amplification system is connected to the speech processing microprocessor for amplifying the electronic signal. A power source provides the necessary power to the amplification system, speech processing microprocessor, memory storage device, and counter. A speaker system is connected to the amplification system for providing the desired sound being of a type so as to block out the noise of eliminating. Therefore, by engagement of the play switch at the desired time by the user, embarrassing sounds of eliminating can be minimized.
