A method includes forming a module aperture in a printed circuit board assembly ('PCBA'), forming an electronic communication interface extending around the module aperture, and plugging a pluggable processor module into the module aperture, the pluggable processor module comprising a micro-processor package, a voltage regulator, and a contact. An electronic communication interface of the pluggable processor module is placed in contact with the electronic communication interface of the PCBA.

Method of plugging a pluggable processor into a PCBA

A pluggable processor module includes a microprocessor package, a voltage regulator including a capacitor board, and contacts that each include a first side in contact with the microprocessor package and a second side in contact with the capacitor board. An assembly includes the pluggable processor module and a printed circuit board assembly ('PCBA') including a module aperture that is large enough to receive the power board and narrower than the capacitor board.

Embedded air gap transmission lines and methods of fabrication are provided. An apparatus having an air gap transmission line can include a first conductive plane, a core dielectric layer having a bottom surface in contact with the first conductive plane, a conductor having a bottom surface in contact with a top surface of the core dielectric layer, and a second conductive plane positioned over, and spaced apart from, a top surface of the conductor such that a gap separates the conductor from the second conductive plane. The top surface of the conductor is separated from the bottom surface of the second conductive plane by a first distance measured along an axis normal to the first conductive plane, and the bottom surface of the conductor is separated from the first conductive plane by a second distance greater than the first distance measured along the axis.

Embedded air gap transmission lines

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for identifying, for each of multiple circuits of an electrical device, a discharge time that indicates an amount of time previously taken for a voltage level of the circuit to decrease from a normal operating voltage to a specified voltage level after power was removed from the circuit. A delay time period is determined for the electrical device based on each discharge time. A command is received to cycle power to one or more components of the electrical device. In response to receiving the command, power is removed from the circuits for an amount of time that corresponds to the delay time period and power is restored to the circuits in response to the amount of time lapsing.

A method and apparatus are provided for monitoring the thermal state of a data center. According to the method and apparatus, thermal sensors are placed at various locations in a data center and readings from those sensors are collected. Once collected, the readings are used in controlling the operation of the data center.

A method and apparatus are provided for balancing the load placed by a data center on different phases of a power input. According to the method and apparatus, the load on the power is monitored and a load imbalance detected. Once the load imbalance is detected, a server rack from the data center is selected and a power supply in the selected server rack is reconfigured to output an increased or decreased voltage.

A starting gate for motorcycle racing of the moto-cross type including a plurality of individual U-shaped members each of which can be raised to a cocked position ahead of the front wheel of a racing motorcycle, a camming device for maintaining the member in cocked position and permitting the release of the member to allow it to drop by gravity towards and out of the way of the motorcycle, and an actuator frame having an interconnection for positioning the camming device to cock the member and means for cocking and releasing the camming device, the construction permitting the addition of a number of U-shaped members extending in either direction from the actuator frame to accommodate the starting of a variable number of racing motorcycles.

A tool permitting the changing or replacing of a shock absorber helical spring, the tool including a base on which a shock absorber is mounted in a position parallel to the base with one end of the shock absorber being restrained, a shock absorber length adjustment shaft is positioned on the base adjacent the other end of the shock absorber, a hand lever is positioned on the adjustment shaft with strategically located pins on the hand lever being inserted between coils of the spring, and the hand lever is then moveable to cause compression of the spring sufficiently far to enable removal of a spring retainer and thus removal of the spring.
