A reclosable pouch includes a first bag wall. A second bag wall opposing the first bag wall is joined to the first bag wall to form an interior of the pouch with an opening to the interior. A male closure element coupled to one of the bag walls defines a plurality of deformed segments and a plurality of normal segments along a length thereof. The plurality of deformed segments alternate with the plurality of normal segments, with (i) first transitions on one side of the male closure element and (ii) second transitions on another side of the male closure element. A female closure element coupled to the other bag wall engages with the male closure element to seal the opening of the pouch, with the deformed segments of the male closure element generating a sound when the female closure element engages with the male closure element.

Reclosable pouch having a clicking closure device

A reclosable pouch includes a first bag wall. A second bag wall opposing the first bag wall is joined to the first bag wall to form an interior of the pouch with an opening to the interior. A first male closure element coupled to the first bag wall defines a plurality of deformed segments and a plurality of normal segments alternating along a length thereof. A first female closure element coupled to the second bag wall engages with the first male closure element to seal the opening of the pouch and to generate a first sound. A second female closure element coupled to the second bag wall engages with the second male closure element to seal the opening of the pouch and to generate a second sound differing from the first sound.

A reclosable pouch includes an elongated closure mechanism, disposed at the top portion of the pouch, having a first male closure element coupled to a first bag wall defining a plurality of deformed segments. A first female closure element coupled to a second bag wall opposes the first male closure element. The first female closure element has first and second spaced legs that are constructed and arranged to engage the first male closure element in order to close the opening of the pouch. The deformed segments of the first male closure element create at least one of a first clicking feel and a first clicking sound when the first female closure element engages the first male closure element to close the opening of the pouch.

A reclosable pouch includes an elongated closure mechanism, at a top portion of the pouch, capable of closing an opening of the pouch. The closure mechanism includes a male closure element having a base, a stem, and an engagement end, and a female closure element that has first and second spaced legs. The male closure element is constructed and arranged to engage the legs of the female closure element in order to close the opening of the pouch. The closure mechanism further includes a plurality of normal segments and a plurality of deformed segments, such that at least one of the male and female closure elements comprises an asymmetric deformation in each of the deformed segments. The asymmetric deformation creates at feast one of a clicking feel and a clicking sound when the male closure element engages the female closure element to close the opening of the pouch.

A reclosable pouch includes a first side wall and a second side wall joined together to form a bag. The pouch has an open top for receiving and removing items to be stored, such as food or other material. The pouch further includes at least one closure mechanism near the open top of the bag which provides for a reclosable bag. Each closure mechanism comprises a male closure element and a female closure element aligned on the opposing first and second side walls, respectively. The male closure element is asymmetrically deformed in a plurality of intermittent section. Preferably, the closure mechanism is a double zipper with at least one male section including one hook extending from an end thereof to engage the female closure element. The closure mechanism provides a clicking feel and/or sound when the pouch is closed. The closure mechanism is substantially leak-proof when closed.

Clicking closure device for a reclosable pouch

A recloseable pouch defining an interior including a first wall, a second wall opposing and partially sealed to the first wall to form an opening, and a closure mechanism for selectively sealing the opening. The closure mechanism includes a female closure element having first and second spaced legs extending from the first wall that are substantially symmetric about a longitudinal centerline and defining female sealing surfaces. The closure mechanism also includes a male closure element including a proximal base portion extending from the second wall, a neck portion forming male sealing surfaces to engage the female sealing surfaces, and a distal head portion. The male closure element has a plurality of intermittent deformed portions so that upon inserting the proximal base portion into the female closure element, the female closure element deflects and, in turn, fluid is allowed to flow past the closure mechanism via the adjacent intermittent portions.

Reclosable bag having a press-to-vent zipper

A method of making a multicompartment reclosable thermoplastic bag having at least two compartments is disclosed. Each compartment has a top, a bottom, two side edges, and two opposing sidewalls joined at the side edges and the bottom. Each compartment has a closure across the top thereof, which are arranged back-to-back and aligned. The compartments are attached together proximate the tops of the compartments, and the bottoms of the compartments are free from being attached to each other. Processes for making such bags from one or more webs are also disclosed.

Method for making a multicompartment thermoplastic bag

A recloseable multibag freezer bag including an inner liner bag and an outer support bag. The inner liner bag is a thermoplastic with a thickness of less than 2 mil and a specified secant modulus, has a mouth through which the interior of the inner liner bag is accessible, and is joined by a mouth seal to the throat of the support bag along the entire length of the mouth of the liner bag substantially enclosing an air space between facing walls of the inner liner bag and outer support bag. The outer support bag is a thermoplastic, and has a mouth and a throat. A recloseable mouth seal is affixed to its mouth to provide recloseable access to the interior of the liner bag through the outer bag while maintaining the enclosed air space between the inner and outer bags.

Freezer storage bag

The present invention provides a freezer bag comprising a multi-layered bag having at least one liner film and an outer support bag. The liner film(s) have a first sidewall and a second sidewall attached along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having a top edge, the outer support bag having two sidewalls attached together along respective lateral edges forming edge seals, each sidewall having top edges defining the opening to the multi-layered bag and the support bag having a folded edge defining the bottom of the multi-layered bag, the top edge of at least one liner film being attached to an inner surface of the respective sidewall of the support bag wherein the liner film(s) are thermoplastic.

Multi-Layered freezer storage bag

A multicompartment reclosable thermoplastic bag having at least two compartments is disclosed. Each compartment has a top, a bottom, side edges, and two opposing sidewalls joined at the side edges and the bottom. Each compartment has a closure across the top thereof, which are arranged back-to-back and aligned such that the center points of each closure are less than &frac12; inch (1.27 cm) away from each other. The compartments are attached together proximate the tops of the compartments, and the bottoms of the compartments are free from being attached to each other. A process for making the bag is also disclosed.

Multicompartment thermoplastic bag

A reclosable fastener assembly comprising two profile strips with interlocking hooks, with a pair of handles positioned along the length of the outer surface of the second fastener strip, the handles adapted to cooperate with the second profile, such that when the handles are squeezed together, the hooks of the second profile disengage with the hooks of the first profile to open the fastener assembly. A slider moves along the fastening strips in straddling relation, the slider including means for squeezing the handles together as the slider moves toward the open position so that the profiles disengage. The profiles reengage when the slider moves in the reverse direction. Also disclosed are the slider and the closure.
