A method comprises the steps of: imaging a patient anatomy; selecting an implant strategy for at least one bone fastener having a first member; registering the imaging of the patient anatomy with imaging of a surgical driver; engaging the first member with tissue of the patient anatomy via the surgical driver according to the implant strategy; manipulating the patient anatomy; acquiring data points representative of a position of the first member relative to tissue; and retrieving the data points from a computer database for attaching a second member with the first member. Systems, spinal constructs, implants and surgical instruments are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and methods of use

A method for treating a spinal disorder includes the steps of: disposing an expandable spinal construct in a selected configuration; fixing the spinal construct in the selected configuration with a member; attaching a first end of the spinal construct with tissue; attaching a second end of the spinal construct with tissue; and disengaging the member from the spinal construct to release the spinal construct from the selected configuration. A surgical system including a combination instrument for breaking of tabs of a reduction connector and providing a counter torque for a driver is disclosed. The combination instrument may have an elongated rigid structure and include an internal shaft and a magazine portion configured to store at least one tab of a reduction connector. The combination instrument may further include a cut-out portion configured to retain the at least one tab within the magazine portion. In some embodiments, the driver may be configured to be inserted into the internal shaft of the combination instrument. In some embodiments, the driver is rotatable within the internal shaft of the combination instrument and configured to drive a set screw within the reduction connector. Disclosed drivers may be manual drivers or powered drivers. Some embodiments, may include a collar or a cap from which the broken off tabs may be ejected.

An assembly for remotely manipulating a patient's spine. A compressor/distractor mechanism attaches to spinal anatomy or vertebral screws on adjacent vertebrae at a spinal surgical site on a patient's spine. A flexible cable is operatively connected to the compressor/distractor mechanism and to a control mechanism. The control mechanism manipulates the flexible cable, controlling the compressor/distractor mechanism to compress or distract the vertebrae. A rotatable surgical table with a remote control can be used in place of the compressor/distractor mechanism and the control mechanism. The rotatable surgical table can rotate the patient to place the spinal surgical site in a desired compressed or distracted position, and to place the patient in a desired orientation with respect to a horizontal reference plane. The assembly permits manipulation of the spine at the surgical site via a posterior approach, while the surgeon can also manipulate the spine at the surgical site via an anterior, lateral or oblique approach.

Remote spinal manipulating assembly and method for remote spinal manipulation

A surgical guide comprising a body including an inner surface that defines a cavity configured for disposal of a surgical instrument. The body further defining an opening communicating with the cavity. A connector disposable with the opening and engageable with a surgical robot. A release is engageable with the connector. Surgical guide and methods of use

The invention provides improved instruments and related methods for percutaneously delivering a revision implant to a surgical site in a spine of a patient having an existing implant installed therein. In one aspect, a percutaneous delivery instrument is provided with an inner shaft with a threaded portion at its distal end to engage a percutaneous revision implant, an outer sleeve with a hollow cavity, hinges, and features to engage the percutaneous revision implant at its distal end, and a translator in which the outer sleeve is disposed. The percutaneous delivery instrument may be employed to deliver and install a percutaneous revision implant to extend the existing implant such that it spans additional portions of the spine.

A spinal construct includes at least one body including a first biasing member engageable with a longitudinal element for translation thereof relative to the body in a first direction. A second biasing member is engageable with a lock. The lock is connected with the longitudinal element to resist and/or prevent translation of the longitudinal element relative to the body in a second direction. A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. A second member is rotatable relative to the first member and includes an engagement element connectable with a second mating surface of the bone fastener.
