A system for collecting physiological data from a patient is disclosed. The system includes a reusable module and a disposable module. The disposable module collects and transmits physiological data to the reusable module, which in turn transmits the physiological data to a patient monitoring system. The reusable module accesses operation data from the disposable module to validate the disposable sensor assembly. Optionally, the operation data includes sensor life data that may be used to determine life expectancy of disposable module. The disposable sensor assembly may store the physiological data for a predetermined length of time when there is no wireless communication established for the reusable module.

System for transmission of sensor data using dual communication protocol

A pulse oximetry system includes a wrist portion configured for placement on a wrist of a subject, the wrist portion having a first component and a second component configured to removably secure to one another. The wrist portion can include emitter(s) and detector(s) operably positioned by the wrist portion. In some implementations, the pulse oximetry system further includes a ring member configured to secure around the subject's finger and operably position emitter(s) and detector(s) and a cable connected to the wrist portion in electrical communication with the emitter(s) and the detector(s) of the ring member and configured to transmit the signal(s) from the detector(s) to the wrist portion. The system includes a battery and hardware processor(s) configured to receive and process signal(s) outputted by the detector(s) to determine physiological parameter(s) of the subject.

Wrist and finger worn pulse oximetry system

An optical physiological sensor can be integrated into a wearable device and can comprise a substrate having an optical center, a first emitter group of light emitting diodes (LEDs) positioned adjacent to the optical center of the substrate and spaced at an offset from the optical center, a second emitter group of LEDs positioned adjacent to the optical center of the substrate at an offset to the optical center and spaced at an offset from the optical center opposite the first emitter group of LEDs relative to the optical center, and a plurality of detectors arranged in a spatial configuration that surrounds the first and the second emitter group. Each of the plurality of detectors can be positioned on the substrate a same distance away from the optical center of the substrate.

Wearable device with physiological parameters monitoring

Medical patient monitoring sensor devices including a disposable sensor assembly and a reusable pairing device are disclosed. The disposable sensor assembly can collect patient physiological data and provide power for the reusable pairing device. The reusable pairing device can establish wireless communication with a monitoring device. Once the reusable pairing device receives patient physiological data from the disposable sensor assembly, the reusable pairing device can wirelessly transmit the data to the computing device via the wireless communication.

Systems and methods are provided for machine learning based monitoring. Image data from a camera is received. On the hardware accelerator, a person detection model based on the image data is invoked. The person detection model outputs first classification result. Based on the first classification result, a person is detected. Second image data is received from the camera. In response to detecting the person, a fall detection model is invoked on the hardware accelerator based on the second image data. The fall detection model outputs a second classification result. A potential fall based on the second classification result is detected. An alert is provided in response to detecting the potential fall.

Machine learning based monitoring system

A mobile device may comprise: a power source, one or more sensors, a communication device, and an actuator. The power source can be configured to provide power to one or more components of the mobile device. The one or more sensors can be configured to generate sensor data. The communication device can be removably coupled to the power source to receive power therefrom and can be further configured to communicate with one or more computing devices remote to the mobile device. The actuator can be configured to transition between at least a first state and a second state to cause the communication device to electrically disconnect from the power source to terminate communication of the communication device with the one or more computing devices remote to the mobile device. The one or more sensors can be configured to generate sensor data when the actuator is in the first state or the second state.

Privacy switch for mobile communications device

A wearable health monitoring device can include a physiological parameter measurement sensor or module configured to be in contact with a wearer's skin when the device is worn by the wearer on the wrist. The physiological parameter measurement sensor can noninvasively and optionally continuously measure one or more physiological parameters, for example, the oxygen saturation, of the wearer. The sensor can include a convex curvature to improve pressure, and therefore optical coupling, between the wearer's skin and the physiological parameter measurement sensor while balancing the pressure and the wearer's comfort. The sensor can include a light barrier between emitters and detectors and other light barriers to improve signal strength and reduce noise.
