Medical devices for delivering a plug to a void within a patient. The medical device can include a fluid delivery device and a plug holder (e.g., a plug delivery device) coupled to a distal end of the fluid delivery device. The medical device may be configured such that the delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery device wets the plug, ejects the plug from the plug holder, and pushes the plug through a lumen of an elongate tube to a void within a patient.

Devices used to pressurize, depressurize, or otherwise displace fluid are disclosed. The devices may be configured to displace fluid in order to inflate or deflate a medical device, such as a balloon. The devices include a trigger configured to convert the devices from a pressurization state to a priming state. The devices further include a locking or toggle member configured to toggle and/or maintain the devices in a priming state.

Devices used to provide access the vasculature are disclosed. The devices may be configured to provide access to a blood vessel, such as an artery. The devices may include a catheter assembly disposed over a needle assembly. The devices may also include a barrel assembly coupled to the needle assembly. A guidewire may be displaceable by barrel assembly within a needle. The needle may include a proximal and distal port.

Medical devices including a cap for a medical connector are disclosed. In some embodiments, the cap comprises a disinfectant, such as an antiseptic fluid and an insert configured to seal or partially seal the medical connector as it is engaged with the cap. In some embodiments the cap insert has a segment which is deformable under axially applied pressure as an end-user attaches the cap to the medical connector. In some embodiments this insert is configured to improve the exposure of antiseptic to the outer surface of the medical connector while minimizing exposure of the antiseptic inside the medical connector open lumen.

Medical devices for delivering compositions or medical articles to a patient are disclosed. The medical plug delivery devices can include a fluid delivery device (e.g., a syringe), a frame, and a rotatable magazine. The rotatable magazine can include a plurality of chambers that each hold a composition or a medical article (e.g., a medical plug). By rotating the rotatable magazine relative to the frame, material within the chambers of the rotatable magazine can be sequentially deployed to a patient.

The syringe may comprise detents on the syringe plunger configured to provide tactile feedback, audible feedback, or both, for discrete units of fluid aspirated or injected to or from the syringe. Devices and methods to disinfect a medical appliance, such as an IV pole, using ultraviolet light, including ultraviolet C (UVC) light, are disclosed. The devices and methods expose contaminated exterior surfaces of the IV pole to UVC light. The UVC light may be emitted from within the IV pole or may be emitted from a source surrounding the IV pole. A controller controls the duration and intensity of the exposure. A proximity sensor detects the proximity of a healthcare worker or patient.

A thrombosis macerating and aspiration device for macerating and aspirating blood clots and blockages in a blood vessel is disclosed. In some embodiments, the macerating element of the device rotates and creates a partial vacuum to assist in the aspiration of the blood clot of blockage. The present disclosure relates to a hemostasis valve with a selectively coupled torque device. The hemostasis valve may include a first mating interface, and the torque device may comprise a second mating interface. The first interface may comprise a groove that retains the second interface, which may comprise a ridge. An axial force may couple and decouple the interfaces. The interfaces may be configured to allow the torque device to rotate relative to the hemostasis valve when in a coupled position.
