Methods of assembling a device having one or more transfer elements (wick, emanator) formed from plant material derived from the stems of sola plants from the genus., and for using the device to transfer or evaporate liquids containing active are also provided. The material when used in form of a wick or emanator shows excellent liquid transfer and of both aqueous and non-aqueous liquids and a low fractionation of a mixture of actives.

Liquid transfer and evaporation device

A device adapted to provide volatile liquid material to an atmosphere, comprising a reservoir containing volatile liquid material, a rod-like transfer member extending therefrom and adapted to transfer liquid from the reservoir, and at least one diffusion surface adapted to receive the liquid from the transfer member and facilitate its evaporation into the atmosphere, the diffusion surface extending essentially laterally from the transfer member and comprising at least one non-integral, non-porous sheet bearing a surface capillarity, which sheet has an extent and a capillarity sufficient to allow an appropriate evaporation. The present invention relates to a process for reducing fragrance loss in a substrate. This process includes preparing a protected fragrance matrix that contains a perfume, an optional fixative and a solid absorbent. The process further includes combining a substrate conditioner with the fragrance matrix and a substrate. Products, especially fabric softener sheets, made from these processes are also provided.

The present invention is a candle. The candle includes a container having a bottom and a side wall defining a cavity and a top rim delimited by the side wall, a first region containing a material that is opaque at room temperature, which material is disposed within the cavity of the container, a second region containing a polymer-oil blend that is substantially transparent at room temperature, which is disposed within the cavity of the container and adjacent to the first region; and a wick disposed within the container, which passes through both the first and second regions. A process for making such a candle is also provided.
