A combination frame arranged between a centrifugal pump and a driver, such as a motor, the combination frame having in a central region thereof a compartment for holding shaft bearings and a quantity of oil, and a pump adapter frame arranged between said compartment and said pump, and a driver adapter frame arranged between said compartment and said driver, the pump and driver adapter frames and the compartment cast or forced as an integral structurally seamless frame between pump and driver. The driver adapter frame radially surrounds and covers impeller axial adjustment studs and reference nuts at the bearing housing, for protection. The combination frame of the present invention provides a stronger structural integrity than the multi-component frames of the prior art which allows for more precise alignment of the coupling between motor and pump which reduces vibration.

Motor pump power end interconnect

A split labyrinth seal comprises a stator and a rotor, each comprising a pair of halves. The rotor halves each comprise a hook and a further protrusion extending from the edge on one side of a central aperture and on the other side of the central aperture a recess in the edge for receiving the hook and the further protrusion. The hook and further protrusion and the recess to receive the same, each extend from adjacent the central aperture to the periphery of the half. The rotor halves are identical so that the hooks and protrusions of one half matingly engage the recess of the other half. The stator has a planar mounting wall and a peripheral wall extending axially to house the rotor therewithin. The edge of the stator on one side of the central aperture is recessed on the exterior side of the planar wall and on the other side of the central aperture is recessed on the interior side. The stator halves are identical at their edges, whereby the recessed edges overlap.

Split labyrinth seal

A ring seal comprises mating stationary and rotary sealing rings, the rotary sealing ring comprising a first portion of one diameter fitting within a first portion of the stationary ring to be mounted in an opening in a housing and a second portion of a larger diameter fitting within an enlarged portion of the stationary ring. The ring seal further comprises in combination a plurality of elastomeric mounting rings having an inner diameter adapted for mounting on the first portion of the stationary ring and having different predetermined diameters of openings in housings in which the ring seal may be mounted.
