A carrier module assembly having a module removably attached to a carrier frame and a carrier riser. The carrier module assembly can be inserted into a slot of a control cabinet without having to re-wire or re-configure the control cabinet. The carrier module assembly has a length which enables the carrier module assembly to be located within the slot of the control cabinet. The module is removable from the carrier frame such that the module can be attached to a backplate of a rack.

Field power selector

A selector is provided for configuring field devices in a control system. A set of pins is connected to the field device. The field device configuration can be changed by interconnecting different pins in the pin set. Multiple pin selectors are provided with different arrangements of connectors for interconnecting the pins. Thus, the field device may be easily configured by connecting a particular pin selector onto the pins that matches the desired configuration.

Selector for field devices

A control system for mounting to a vertically-extending rail. The control system includes a plurality of bases, each having a channel formed therein that is adapted for mounting to the rail. A plurality of modules are provided for removable mounting to the bases, respectively. Each module has circuitry for processing control signals and a housing enclosing the circuitry. At least a bottom end of each housing has openings therein to permit air to flow into the housing and over the circuitry. A plurality of air flow deflectors are provided for mounting to the bases, respectively. When the modules and the air flow deflectors are mounted to the bases, the air flow deflectors form pockets with the bottom ends of the modules. The pockets have enlarged openings disposed parallel to sides of the modules.

A control system includes a module assembly with a base. The base can be configured for engagement with at least one module having electronic circuitry disposed therein or other electronic device. The base includes at least one latching assembly with a lever operable to move a shuttle coupled to the lever to releasably engage the base with an elongated mounting rail.

A control system for mounting to a rail. The control system includes a control assembly and one or more I/O assemblies. The control assembly and each I/O assembly includes a module removably mounted to a base. The base has a body with a channel formed therein that is adapted to receive the rail. A latching assembly is mounted to the body and includes a lever movable between a latched position and an unlatched position, wherein the movement of the lever between the unlatched and latched positions moves latching members into and out of the channel, whereby when the rail is disposed in the channel and the lever is moved to the latched position, the latching members move into the channel, thereby trapping the rail in the channel and securing the base to the rail. When the module is mounted to the base, the module covers the lever of the latching assembly so as to be inaccessible.
